It's entirely possible, @oplink said they were unable to delete my account data which puts them in violation of the CCPA. I'm not quite upset enough to sue about it, but someone very well could.

Thanks to Oplink for checking my account in details. It was partially my fault as I am using a new card (better USD rates) with PayPal and that card wasn't verified.

Technically they just have very strict protocol in checking for frauds despite every other details are valid, especially on good deal like this, so make sure everything in your PayPal is verified nicely.

They are generous enough to restore the order after careful understanding my situation (I believe the refunded orders was never added back to stock, thus explain there's enough capacity)

Apologise for making noises and I hope Oplink can consider creating ticket to understand more with their customer before refunding users immediately.

Glad it worked out! I was refreshing like crazy almost made it to payment. I thought if I got this I'd be done for BF

Not once have I been able to get anything I wanted from that megathread. Especially the flash sales.

I am glad that everything worked out well.

How a minor change like adding a new credit card can possibly trigger red flag will help also many folks on LET.

@oplink — it will help you to prepare better for BF order tsunami.

  • It's a little frustrating, and I understand it's a flash sale. But in the previous survey thread, I believe I was one of the people who gave positive feedback and was looking forward to the release.

But it all happened so fast, I set my alarm and couldn't get anything.

It's not technically anyone's fault, but really hopefully something can be improved, it kind of sapped my anticipation.

I wasn't even expecting a doubling, just wanted to get this as a new backup location. :'(

  • Well they were completely gone in less than 30 seconds, so it was beyond flash sale...

I hope this year you are able to, I have tried to modified the game a little bit (Hint: It is not always 1 offer per hour, so if multiple deals are posted at the same time, there's more chance of you getting 1 of them  - plus it is hard for scalpers to multi-task on different sites)

Think main issue wasn't bots but having the promo presold :/
Dont think something should be advertised here if it's not readily available to users from this site. People set their alarms for predetermined disappointment.

As I've already commented, 15 VMs is not a serious commercial offer. It's a beta test that should have been done internally.

There was no reason to bother.

If the 100T bandwidth is not enough, can additional bandwidth be purchased?

I have a slight feeling that if you are pushing more than 400mbit 24/7 you'll rather be kindly asked to leave than offered a (comparable cheap) option to extend the traffic limit. More or less saturating a gbit port at 20$/mon doesn't really seem economical.
