    @c1vhosting
This is what I call unmatched network performance.

  • Their excuse are on weekend they don't work
On weekdays they are traveling and they will respond 00:00 Tuesday as before they go to bed.
With a question that you need to respond and wait for next day midnight.
Any way even if they activate the service it will not work we all facing issue for over a week now with no solution.

How long does it take for servers to be issued after payment? Almost a day has passed, but there is no data.

From experience and past posts, I think only during Italy Office hours then new orders will be processed. Same as tickets. :)

They don't have tickets, only emails. Status so far: Pending

Yap I meant email, normally office hours then you get a reply.

Has anone received this? It feels scary OMG :#

    Dear Valued Customer,

We hope this message finds you well. Our team, thanks for a Customer report, has recently identified a critical security vulnerability specifically affecting VPS instances running the Debian operating system. This issue requires your immediate attention to safeguard your data and operations.

Vulnerability Details: The vulnerability arises from a default configuration in the Debian user setup, potentially exposing your VPS to unauthorized access.

Required Action: To address this vulnerability, we strongly recommend one of the following actions:

    Immediate Update and User Removal:
As the root user, run the following command in your VPS terminal:
apt install perl -y && deluser --remove-all-files debian
This command installs necessary updates and securely removes the 'debian' user, which is the source of the vulnerability.

    Reinstall Your VPS:
If you prefer a fresh start or encounter issues with the first method, you can reinstall your VPS using our provided OS templates, now fixed.
This option ensures a clean and secure setup but remember to back up any important data before proceeding.

I bet Luca is eating ice cream on the streets of Pomezia right now and is unaware that a hacker took control of his email and is spamming us to trick us into updating perl to exploit a zero-day and steal all our bitcoin and banking data. He'll find out only in a few days next week, when he eventually catches up on the company, around midnight and after the night movie.

Nope, it's legit. perl may not be installed but is needed for the "--remove-all-files debian" argument to work.

  • Makes sense.

Meanwhile I think Luca has been AFK the whole time.

    • Aside from those above, I have not encountered any additional issues so far as of the posting of this comment. I will be however be commenting back if I encounter issues.

Hi I am back, I have been using C1V's VPS for a week now and I have noticed a deteriorating performance in terms of network and CPU. The storage performance is fine.

I am running a Web based Youtube downloader service which heavily relies on Network performance and CPU performance.

What I have noticed after a week of usage is the constantly high CPU usage despite my machine doing nothing. It seems that I am encountering a very high CPU steal time causing a constant 40-50% CPU usage on my VPS despite doing absolutely nothing.

Download speed on this VPS is pretty inconsistent, noticing a very slow network speed 105KiB-200KiB, although occasionally rises back to 35MiB/s in some periods of time.

The upload speed on this VPS is the only best part as it is always consistently high and can go up to 50-60MiB/s

What I can speculate is that their VPS is badly oversold and is getting worse day by day. Some people will have great performance as there is a possibility they are put into a newer node but as time goes and the node becomes populated, you are met with noisy neighbours and will take a toll on the overall performance.

Basing on my personal experience and other people's experiences with C1V's services, I highly doubt this provider will give you a good time at its current state. I suggest to avoid this provider for now until they fix their customer support issues and allegedly overselling. Thanks for reading.

    I'll answer to everyone ASAP.

By the way, @davide I confirm the email is sent from us: it was discovered that vulnerability that could be a source of bad speeds/performances. Please apply it ASAP.

On the other hand, we're testing a new software capable of increasing CPU performances for everyone here. I'll keep you updated.

It turns out that PAYPAL successfully appealed and forced a refund, but it turned out that they manually deleted the service (finally, I don’t have to worry about it anymore)
