  • They have to really gotta work on planning and then come up with next deals. It's really heartbreaking to see people's review on them. Good luck Hxservers.

There's too many VPS providers around for something like this to be forgiven

    It wasn't feedback.

  • I have very mixed feeling about the whole situation. There are arguments for both sides.

Is the argument for one of those sides "No, it's your fault you didn't read the message we didn't send you. Lalalalala, I can't hear you!"?

For all users affected by this change, please open a ticket with us.

We did not dispatch emails to our customers warning them of this change. We had intended to send a mass email campaign through our billing portal, yet - emails were not sent, nor were they checked before the system started its automatic cycle of refunds and terminations.

We sincerely apologize for the lack of communication.

Here's what we will do. For any customer who was affected by this, open a ticket. We will recreate a new VPS for you, with the first month being free.

EDIT - While maintaining the same price you originally had.

    Thank you,

How long will the new server last until it will disappear?

Is 7 days really enough time to determine that location isn't going to work out or did something else happen here?

    Summer ended :D

  • Man I Just started seeing this series and I gotta say.

This is a fucking laugh. I mean it sucks for the customers of HXservers but... I'd suspect their advertising is hoseshit.

They claim they spent over 400k on infrastructure. They haven't been around for long but cool, seems they invested money building out their own systems (is the message they convey)! They start building a Dallas location with clients and decide to take it down within 3 days because "we didn't see as much growth as we'd like". They're also using datacenters that are popular for colocation customers. Like... sounds like they lied and never started with 400k.

Just this entire dumpster fire is "lol". It's basically a giant fuck you to all their clients. @hxservers, you basically said: "We tried to send you an email but we didn't. We'll throw something at you and say we're trying to fix it but what's offered is equivalent to nothing". People don't really care about servers, they care more about their data. You've shown here that yeah you're cheap, but too cheap that storing data with you will be unreliable. This is even worse because this isn't a physical problem with the datacenter. It's just you deciding to cancel less than a month in.

They're using reliablesite AKA reselling dedis, no way they spent $400k on that. Just more lies.

  • I think I read somewhere that LA is also good, but LA VPS can still be bought from their site.

Do you see any currency symbol before 400k.
It could be 400k in nigerian dollars

They started a month ago and already have “10k+” tickets answered? Is their service that bad that 10k+ tickets were opened in the 1-2 months they’ve been operating?

  • Also "1M+ attacks blocked everyday" doesn't make them sound overly popular. And 11 attacks per second of every day, that must be quite the work load for a one-man band to deal with.

Maybe that should really read "1M+ packets dropped by the router every day (mostly by null-routing all packets to Dallas)"

  • so if a location is discontinued, why don't they just migrate the vps?

They are probably just using some web template where they did not put the efforts to even edit it or remove it

They did acknowledge the 400K part though. But everything still remains questionable.

They are separate attacks. Not 1M packets dropped, but 1M separate attack campaigns. He's Cloudflare/Microsoft/Gov level huge. /eyeroll
