Vultr NJ object storage has been down for most of August too, and they definately arent using a single server.

Not good. At least, they don't seem to pretend to have 99.99% availability...

I do like, from the Vultr website:

"For high availability and redundancy, you can back up to object storage in a different location from your main application or use multiple object storage locations and sync between them."

and then they link to a page explaining how to use...rclone yourself (so hardly a feature to promote)

I was considering them, but this does not inspire confidence.

Their object storage also doesn't allow for custom domains in front of it, and they have this nice gotcha in the FAQs regarding the Cloudflare Bandwidth Alliance, with which Vultr is a participant:

The Cloudflare Bandwidth Alliance program does not include Object Storage traffic.

@tedtomato yeah not really an option for every application. Particularly the latest generation of services that use S3 as more of a datastore than a static filestore (e.g Loki, Thanos etc). They tend to have object level redundancy but not endpoint level.
