  • Damn. I went with Google domains for some long term Dynamic updaters in various places many years ago. This will be inconvenient switching to another domain, but at least there's cloudflare dynamic dns that's just as good now.

Might not be the savviest, but certainly that's not the typical, no

I think this is a consequence of having too much capital (even if it's borrowed) and not having the patience to hold it and spend it on the right stuff like Apple

Put a bit spicier commentary on LowEndBox:

I keep all at the same registrar

But that’s just because I mostly use .se & .nu, and so they transfer for free

Just out of curiosity, what registrar do you use for .se?

In all honesty I do change my mind once in a while.

But I’ll go ahead and say that for now, Inleed is top tier (.net for english version).

They operate their own datacenters, they operate their own network (they even recently started to provide ISP services), but most importantly, even at 03 a clock, they often answer their email within 30 minutes. They really care.

Although, I’ll DM you a bonus trick.

Yeah, I use Inleed for a couple of domains and even some webhosting. Never had any problems, works really well.

Talked to them some time ago, can confirm, support/sales is top notch.

ICANN accredited as well, very rare for a ”small time” swedish registrar considering most bigger swedish registrars aren’t.

So they’re suitable for .com & .net etc. Although maybe a bit expensive, especially if you don’t use them for other stuff (like .se & .nu, where they’re cheap).

Wasn't aware they are ICANN accredited.
Very cool. I was personally considering them for colo, but I'll wait until they got better ddos-protection. But it looks like they have much more to offer than affordable colo.

I don’t subscribe, some people on Twitter said it had to do with then selling Google Domains
