the only one being political right now is you.
the only "political" thing here was a fucking word "based"
happy to see you understand it.
I meant in general just yesterday in a thread about freedom of speech domain registrars you were going on about immigrants and rapes.
And when was I political lmao, I didn't know KiwiFarms was a political group / party
And as I said I misunderstood the comment and edited my response
You cannot make a WAF or (caching) CDN without TLS Termination. This is just a fancy SNI proxy, nothing more...
Glad my funny named website has stirred up some debate about the slang term 'based'.
But I'm left wondering: based on what?
why don't they use a name that isn't a meme? it's clearly some kids behind it
aren't you a bit too old to play that edgy card on the internet?
it was explained by the dev of it just a few posts above it.
there's nothing political about "based", it's childish but you're talking out of your ass, for what reason? maybe to feel good about your self idk but you're not adding anything to the discussion, all your posts here are nothing but rephrased "ad hominems", it's too obvious lol
Nice
basedflare is hosted on terrahost?
Check the A records for
all.basedflare.com
.how did u get to this record?
im getting a response from ip 38.60.199.224 which ip lookup show"LightNode SG"
Everyone is "Freedom of speech" gangster until DMCA enter the chat
Hoping to see more documentation.
There are some providers that don't care about DMCA but I think you can count them on one hand![ ](https://lowendtalk.com/resources/emoji/cry.png)
Documentation about what?
I rarely see someone claim freedom of speech for DMCA stuff. Your rights aren’t getting infringed on because friendsMTS is taking your champions league streams down.
Besides, in the case of cloud flare and likely most WAF, they will expose the backend provider when sent a proper claim.
Francisco
How to actually host something after haproxy is up.
Also, documentation says visit
http://localhost/
but there is nothing running on port 80.What is Francisco's stance if I spin up basedflare clone on your LUX location with 15x 1GB instances? xD
And offer it for 1 USD per month or free to LET users.
I mean, if you want? not a lot of cores, but that's on you.
We do support ECMP if you want to load balance an IP between all instances.
Francisco
If you run it through dig you get all records which shows
all.basedflare.com. 300 IN A 203.28.238.247
all.basedflare.com. 300 IN A 185.125.168.21
all.basedflare.com. 300 IN A 45.88.201.168
all.basedflare.com. 300 IN A 38.54.57.171
all.basedflare.com. 300 IN A 38.60.199.224
203.28.238.247 is GoHosting but the email address contact suggests quantumcore.com.au so maybe a parent company with multiple brands?
45.88.201.168 and 185.125.168.21 are Terrahost
38.60.199.224 and 38.54.57.171 are cogent (seemingly assigned to KAOPU CLOUD HK LIMITED)
LightNode
I don't see any mention of LightNode in the whois response for any of the IPs, the one previously mentioned as LightNode doesn't show it either. It could be resold to them and then sold on to basedflare without the whois information being updated to be fair

This should clear things up.
Ah! That makes sense - I didn't go further than the homepage. Thanks!
I just trused my goto IP checker lol
It’s usually right
And sometimes it’s not
whats ur go to?
Honestly it depends
https://dnschecker.org/
This one I like because it has it all
DNS propagation & IP info
They showed the correct company in this instance for example
Db-ip.com is also nice, I’ve personally ”marked” some data as inaccurate and they always fix it fast
Though, shoutout to https://www.whatsmydns.net/. Not quite the range of tools as the mentioned but I work a lot with IDN-domains (åäö) and I found it really annoying to convert from/to punnycode for every lookup, so I emailed the guy and just asked if he could add support for typing åäö domains directly and he actually replied back just a short while later and fixed it
So even though it’s not IP lookup, it has a special place in my heart
I usually use bgp.he.net, or the standard Linux ping/host commands.
@emgh @neel_qeru thanks for ur replies
I already know dnschecker and whatsmydns, good websites.
Also use HE BGP Toolkit (bgp.he.net) really nice since it also gives whois info (and no RIPE whois block like on bgpview.io)
And I use ipinfo.io, check-host.net, bgpview.io, db-ip.
I’m crazy about these tools xd
