  • @LiteServer cpu perfomance is really bad today on node NL-DRN-KVMHDD-33, i have a insane high IO wait and while only serving few images with nginx

Maybe you have been divided into "IO abuse" groups, you can run some test scripts to confirm.

Please create a ticket so we can review this. Things should be fairly normal now most of the customers that where initially slowing down our nodes have been rate-limited to be nicer for the HDD arrays. So it might be possible your VPS got rate limited too, but a ticket will clear that up :-).

  • My storage VPS keeps going going down for around a minute. Data from hetrixtools

Anyone else having the same issue?

@LiteServer can this be looked into?

    support replied me:

Your VPS appear to rate limited by our techs due to ongoing I/O abuse.
You were generating way too many IOPS, causing high load on our node and performance degradation for other customers.

while i only store backups (rsync, ftp) which runs 1 time per day and i serve few images with nginx

    https://prnt.sc/L6tvP1R-60TS

my disk storage hasn't been changed much over the time so cannot say i write 1TB daily...

why sells storage vps if cant handle those simpliest tasks

Usually torrent/P2P things trigger our monitoring and rate limit policy.
You can contact our support department and explain your usage in details, then we'll review your IO rate limits another time.

Same, only came to my attention a couple of months ago because the infrastructure group has a lot of tor nodes. Their support helped me a lot with information while not being a customer yet. Feel super welcome to their platform already.

for IPV6 please open a ticket so that we can take a look at your IPv6.

    I found what caused issue.

In case someone experience the same IPv6 issue with the newest Debian installations (older works fine) when adding some IPv6 address via control panel, there's a solution.

Debian template use deprecated ifconfig. Ask them to disable IPv6 autoconfiguration and then use iproute2 (the ip command) instead of ifconfig.

Sorry. Could you please tell me the commands?
    I'm still stuck.
    I tried ip -6 addr add ... then ip -6 route ....
But ping6 google.com still returned Destination unreachable.

Replace old deprecated "up /sbin/ifconfig eth0 inet6 add..." with "up ip addr add"...
/etc/network/interfaces should look something like that:

    # The primary network interface
    auto eth0
    iface eth0 inet static
    address 5.255.xxx.3xxx
    netmask 255.255.255.0

    gateway 5.255.xxx.xxx
    iface eth0 inet6 static
            accept_ra 0
            address 2a04:xxxx:xxxx:xxxx:0000:0000:0000:0001
            netmask 64
            gateway 2a04:xxxx:xxx::1
up ip addr add 2a04:xxxx:xxxx:xxxx:0:0:0:abcd/64 dev eth0
up ip addr add 2a04:xxxx:xxxx:xxxx:0:0:0:babe/64 dev eth0
up ip -6 route add 2a04:xxxx:xxx::1 dev eth0
up ip -6 route add default via 2a04:xxxx:xxx::1

    Thank you for your reply.
I broke the network because I am not familiar with it :'( . After I reinstalled debian11 (previously debian10), and then finally got the ipv6 address...

  • I regret that I only bought 4 and cancelled one of them.
