I see. I don't mind moving my data over to a new location myself once a new server is provisioned... I understand it won't be Boston...
Ahh, thanks for remembering ๐
I'll definitely put in a ticket and wait for an update...
Thanks ๐
Bought a Storage VPS, location: Missouri.
Amazing Great Low price for 1TB vps with DDOS protection! Not sure where else I can find it for the same price!
Sign up and Setup were very fast, got the VPS up and running.
Upload and Download speed is reasonably fast from Asia, surprised by this but in a good way!
Support is also reasonably fast.
Did not hear of the company previously, only saw it when another member here mention about them and decided to get them a try!
Everything seems too good to be true but it's true, hope SmartHost continue the good job!
Now am thinking if I should get another VPS at another location before Black Friday sale ends!
Thanks @SmartHost !!
Just ordered two storage servers, great value, very happy so far
I tried to order but your website is very very slow and it is not allowing us to.
Can anyone upload a sample test file to test speeds for other folks?
After one hour of trying order I got my order paid and is in pending.
Invoice #408769
So I hope to receive it soon...
Ok we finally got it and well, i'm really imprest and happy.

Hah...yea, we've been around a long time, but 75%+ of our business is wholesale/reseller based, so you don't see as much advertising from us. We tend to focus on the infrastructure and relationship growth, and let the resellers do the marketing and sales. But every so often we pop our heads out to say hi...hehe.

Awesome. Very happy to hear that. Thank you for your business.

Thanks. Speeds are slow, aren't they?
Ya, unexpectedly slow. Yesterday afternoon, I was only able to get about 160 Mbps out of it.

Storage MO?
O boy. That's not good. Did you reach out to support?
Every location will be different, so have 1G uplinks to each Storage VPS node, others have 10G. Speeds will vary, as capacity is shared amongst all users on the node. I would assume quite some fluctuations currently, as so many signups, and clients all starting to upload at the same time on all these new accounts.
We are however seeing an issue on the 10G locations, and speeds not what we usually see/expect. We are basically seeing what we would expect for 1G capacity, not 10G, though links are confirmed at 10G capacity on our side.
This is NOT load/capacity related on our side, as all these storage nodes have minimal CPU load and utilizing just a small fraction overall of their available port capacity. The whole point of selling these so inexpensively, was to full up such heavily underutilized nodes! Same goes for our main uplinks at each facility. Internal testing between nodes on the same local LAN has no such issues we find.
We have a ticket open with our colocation/network provider to get to the bottom of it, as all our 10G storage nodes are running over the same network vendor.

Also, 160Mbps on a shared 1G port is acceptable.
1G port is what is advertised here btw...
However, I know you are on 10G node, so we are investigating on our end.

@SmartHost
Ask a moderator to update the number of CPU's (threads) advertised in your BUDGET VPS offering from 1 to 4.
Nice catch...thanx.
~SMARTHOST
Yes @plumberg , storage!
Saw this and made the change
Thank you.
Looks really solid. Hope this deal is still available when you release your Atlanta location.
Low RAM monthly offers?
We tend to shy away from anything that costs us nearly as much in payment processing fees as the service sale price. ;-)
Our lowest RAM plans are 1G, nothing less.
