What will you do if bandwidth limit reached?
@403_Forbidden We have a pretty relaxed approach to bandwidth limits. We do not charge overage fees -- we never have and we never will.
As you hit 90% usage of your bandwidth, we'll send out a notice that you're about to hit the limit. You'll have the option to reduce your bandwidth usage or purchase some extra bandwidth for a few dollars. If you don't dial back your usage, you exceed it and you don't buy more bandwidth ahead of time, then your service might get suspended if you exceed your bandwidth limit by a significant margin (i.e., 10% over your limit).
If you're consuming your bandwidth so quickly that our 24 hour notification cronjob doesn't have time to notify you, then in that situation you might not have much notice before a service suspension occurs. But those situations are very rare -- you would have to be max'ing out your gigabit line for days in order for that to happen.
I've been very happy with my server, thank you. But I want to know if you will offer the 4TB HDD special. It was discussed a couple months ago, a few people were interested but I haven't seen any updates since then.

Last week we migrated the VM that hosts our speed test file to a new node, but we neglected to update the test.reprisehosting.com hostname. My apologies for missing your question earlier. I'm glad to hear that you've been enjoying your server thus far!
We do still have plans for the 4TB HDD special, but they've been postponed because we've either been sold-out (or very nearly sold-out) for the last few months.
I don't have a firm date on the 4TB special, but when we do I'll be sure to announce it here. As discussed previously, we're hoping to post a server special that is geared specifically towards matching or beating SoYouStart offerings.
Nobody replying from support, have to wait atleast 24 hours to resolve issues.
Could you share your ticket number? I am not seeing any requests in our support queue that have had to wait 24 hours to receive a response. That said, if you provide your ticket number and I can see there was a delay in response, then I will follow up with the appropriate staff and ensure that it does not happen again.
After a cursory review of recent tickets, I can only find one person who has had to wait a little while for support. This individual opened a ticket threatening a chargeback within hours of placing his order -- before his server was setup. His order was promptly cancelled and refunded. His subsequent replies to our ticket system requesting reinstatement of his order have been ignored. If that person is you, then you have my apologies for any inconvenience, but we do take chargeback threats seriously -- especially from brand new customers.

No, we are not offering IPv6 at this time.
We do have IPv6 allocated ( https://whois.domaintools.com/2607:D680::/32 ) and we have plans to offer it soon, but not as part of these promotional servers.

does this service include DDoS protection?
We do have substantial DDoS mitigation/filtration capabilities, but we do not offer DDoS-protected servers. In other words, if you get hit with a DDoS attack, then there's a good chance that your server will remain online, however if the attack is large enough or occurs frequently enough, then you may be asked to move to a provider that specializes in DDoS protection.
If you have a server that is routinely targeted for DDoS attacks, then we're not a good fit for you.
