I brought the BudgetKVMMO-2, it should be an upgrade from my original plan. But the benchmarks doesn't say so. My previous plan was a 30GB HDD meanwhile the new one is a SSD but:
HDD bench:
fio Disk Speed Tests (Mixed R/W 50/50):
Total | 495.42 MB/s (123.8k) | 4.20 GB/s (65.7k)
| |
SSD Bench:
fio Disk Speed Tests (Mixed R/W 50/50):
What I am missing???
HDD does not mean SATA, it's Hard Disk Drive. In your case it seems that you are on our EPYC node with NVMe 4.0 drives so you have better R/W speed than our normal SSDs in Kansas City, MO.
Oh, man. So my switch has been not an upgrade but a downgrade xD
I thought that maybe an higher ping was ok if I was getting more performance. I should had waiting for someone posting YABS instead of going ahead Q_Q
I don't know if it is possible to transfer, but if it is possible and someone wants a BudgetKVMMO-2 fresh new, just tag me
Not really, you have better network port (10Gbps), more RAM, cores and HDD than the UK one (maybe the price per year too?). The R/W speed of the BudgetKVMMO-2 should be sufficient for you in most cases too.
Well yes, but 1GBit network was already enough for me (I don't know how can some ppl have a constant usage of a 10GBit network? What they do? Seedboxing?).
I wanted to switch because, despite an higher ping, I was hoping to get more performance on multi-thread tasks (I know that E5v4 is less powerful of a Epyc on singlethread but I was thinking about 2 core vs 1 but unfortunately I lost the bet) and getting better IO speeds (but it was meanless because I already had a SSD it seems). The price is a bit higher then my EPYCUK-1, it was 20$ annually.
Well, there is no refund and I have already filled the cancellation request for my old plan. There time until half july before the termination of my EPYC plan. If someone wants BudgetKVMMO-2 and GreenCloud allow transfers, please get it from me xD
it's shared 1Gbe, then it depends on how busy is that rack.

promo for singapore location?
The new Budget plans now available in Hong Kong DC2. More locations are coming!
Maybe in 1-2 months when we ship more servers.
EPYC Milan? Ryzen 5950x? or budget E5?
I have a Threadripper VPS in Singapore whose renew date is in July I think? looking for some upgrades.
Exactly which locations? looking forwards to Bend if possible and Amsterdam
BTW. Would you add more DCs for Japan and Osaka just like you did for HK and SG.
BudgetKVMHK-2 is out of stock, will you re-stock?
Anyone got BudgetKVMHK-2's CPU and fio benchmark?
Wonder how it performs compared to my BF $25 at the same price.
oh, that was quite fast
BudgetKVMHK-2 is out of stock,We need more machines from Asia
BudgetKVMHK-2 YABS
Why some people's CPU is AMD EPYC 7502P
It will be EPYC Milan and Budget E5 in SG.
For Japan, we will have Tokyo DC2 with Leaseweb at the end of this year or sooner when they have availability.
Next available locations will be: Chicago, IL; Los Angeles, CA. Bend or Amsterdam will take a few months from now.
Thanks. Pretty neat scores.
E5 v4 Single core is slightly worse than EPYC Rome but 2 cores make up for it.
SATA SSD also performs above my expectation.
Forgot to lock an EPYC node so a few users got in with the Budget plans, very lucky of them.
Oh. That explains it. @guagua_ya66
edit: Wait. It's Milan not Rome, and that's not for budget plan.
@guagua_ya66 said some budget VPS in HK is EPYC Rome.
Awesome! can't wait for Leaseweb Tokyo.
IIRC they added Tokyo DC not long ago.
Good to hear that. For NA/EMEA I can wait.
I have just added a few more BudgetKVMHK-2 in stock. There will be more stock when unpaid orders cancelled too.
Thanks!! Happy to get some
oh, thanks, i saw 9, then check out... BudgetKVMHK-2 is OUT OF STOCK again
btw, what is paypal basic and paypal subscription ? @NDTN
Nice offers !
Wondering how many failed to complete payment due to cloudflare outage
edit: IPv6 is still up and working FYI
Paypal Basic = The old WHMCS Paypal module, which offers both One-time checkout and subscription
Paypal Subscription = The new WHMCS Paypal module, only offers subscriptions
Things are being fixed, only a few regions affected afaik.
Will there be type BudgetKVMHK-1?
Greencloud budget plan sells through the roof that their website throws 500 error even after cloudflare recovery.
The ssd is good, but 3.7GB RAM?
