@NDTN Can you fix your LA and Phoenix download test file. It's been down for months at least. :)
I'm aware that it's your upstream provider's broken link but can't you set up your own?

Tried another few NA locations and Denver, Secaucus, Miami, Buffalo and Toronto are not working either.
More than half locations in Europe are down as well. All Asia ones are working but HK DC1 doest have a test file.

    Congratulations @FrankZ @tototo @ratneo @cybertech @Sanjue007 @dosai!

Reach out to @NDTN to claim your toys

As usual, if I've made any mistakes, sorry in advance 🙏

  • Congratulations, enjoy your free service :)

We dont have the test file for HK DC1 now as it will be easily a target for DDoS attacks. We will check the test files of other locations.

  • I'm surprised that these VPS are still available, a great choice for price/performance in the US, I've been using it for over two weeks and the performance is the same, very stable

@NDTN are you planning something like this in Dallas?

Yes we have already had a plan on expanding our EPYC/Ryzen to other locations, including Dallas. ETA ~ 1-2 months.

    Update:
We have just put some "budget" KVM plans live: https://greencloudvps.com/billing/store/new-location-sale

Starting from only $15/year for 2GB RAM DDR4, E5 CPU, RAID-10 SSD and 10Gbps port.
Only available in Kansas City, MO now but more locations will be available soon.
In the near future, we will offer 2 types of products when we are slowly upgrading hardware in almost all locations:

    • Budget line: From $15/year with E5v4 CPUs, DDR4, RAID-10 SSD and 10Gbps port
    • Premium line: From $4/mo or $25/year with Ryzen/EPYC CPUs, RAID-1/RAID-10 NVMe 4.0, 10Gbps port

Please let us know if you have any feedbacks so we can improve that.

Knowing @NDTN will probably doing similar offers in LAX and PHX, any chance Seattle and Bend DC get similar treatment in the near future?

Seattle: yes, but with a new DC.
Bend: maybe if we see enough demands.
    Thanks!

You're going to abandon Wowrack as well? :)
Can you disclose new DC info to us now?

Bend is obscure sure but Oregon area has the lowest latency to Tokyo :) and most likely other East Asia countries. Probably China included.

As we have signed an SPLA agreement with Microsoft, we cannot provide custom Windows installed (trial/BYOL/etc) because it will involve in a lot of reports. We have Windows offers posted on LEB already: https://lowendbox.com/blog/greencloudvps-cheap-windows-vps-with-unmetered-bandwidth-starting-at-10-mo-in-ks-or-fl/

I am already a customer from a last year offer, my renewal is due to next month, is there a chance to get these new plans on EU location?

My current plan is in UK.

I am very willing to change my plan but 168ms is blocking me xD

  • Is it possible to get a YABS of BudgetKVMMO-2? To antone who brought this :P

We will consider Bend, OR for our new KVM offers, for now we only have Windows VPS offers there.
Edited: we might still keep Wowrack with our current servers, and have new DC for the new offers. It will be Nexeon but we are still looking for other choices too.

Yes we will have these plans available in Coventry, UK; our new servers there will have upgraded 10Gbps port. But it might take a few months for purchasing hardware and IP blocks (currently $50/IPv4) so it takes time for us to have enough IP addresses for the cheap KVM offers.

Also interested in some European location.
As I already have GreenCloud .nl VPS (and I am happy with), any other european location would be my pick :)

Well, things got off to a bit of a rocky start with my new Greencloud VPS. But I will say this right off the bat: file transfer times for Dallas test files on 9 different networks were better from Greencloud's (WSI/NOCIX) location in Kansas City than from SSD Nodes' Dallas location. I guess there's 10 Gbps ports and then there's 10 Gbps ports…

Also, 9 ms ping times from my apartment, which doesn't suck. ;)
