Something is not right, the cpu steal is very high
For dedicated cpu threads, this should never exceed 1% and most of the time stay at zero.

I am opening a ticket, asking for refund if it is not fixed

Please let us know what happened. Same boat here.

  • I'm not on this offer, but am with PHP Friends on one of their older offers. CPU steal has always been pretty high for me. A while back it dropped a lot when they moved their servers to new racks. It seems that some of these offers might be on the same host nodes as I am, since the steal has gone up again since a few days. It doesn't look nice in graphs perhaps, but performance has always been great for me.

I am truly wondering how they where able to offer such plans with those prices? Are these 100% dedicated/unshared cores (threads)?

Judging by the high steal times in these deals, no.
I am using their normal EPYC vServer, and the steal time there is almost non existent. So it looks like with deal they aren't.

I have a VPS from this deal: https://php-friends.de/vserver-ssd/vserver-schnupperspecial-2021-nvme

And steal is 0.0 - 0.4, so it is not all VPS's from deals that have a steal problem.

I guess that they accidentally have oversold the Christmas offer and will find an acceptable solution for everyone within the next few days.

PHP-Friends is usually pretty straight forward. If you experience too much steal and the load is too high, they'll replace you to another host node. They did that for me too on an earlier offer. Same when the IOPS wasn't what I could expect from it.

Hmm, I don't think the situation is improving xD

You can contact them about CPU score or wait a little bit more.
Keep in mind that PHP-Friends has 14 days full refund policy (German law) so you can just write to them that you want to cancel this service and they will give you back all your money. :)

Steal on my VPS Schnupperspecial 2021 is in 0.0-0.4 range. Most of the time 0.0-0.1.

@PHP_Friends take a look at people results (multicore CPU perf scaling on 8core VPS is just 3.5x)

Atm they're sold out completely. Just write a ticket and ask for delivery ETA.

We delivered all servers within 24.12.2021 and 26.12.2021.

Good to know. I must have missed an email or something, otherwise I'll get back to you with a ticket. (I thought I'd ask here if it was a general delay instead of drowning you in tickets during the holidays.)

It works like a charm with Netcup and Hetzner and they provide everything needed, is it the case with php-friends?
