Thanks - but my account is ovh.ie based and it doesn't allow me to buy that one. Gives an 'invalid user' error when I sign in. Don't particularly feel like adding another account.

Hmmm, I realised my old kimsufi box is a real mismash! It was ordered as a KS-1, but the CPU is actually N2800 from KS-2 spec.
I'm paying in GBP which works out slightly more expensive than the KS-1 but cheaper than the KS-2. Weirdly, last year the price went up and then this year reverted to what it'd been 2 years before that. Also, interestingly it was 25% cheaper than now for the first 5 years I had it.
I guess as I've had it for over 8 years, I might as well let it continue plodding along in tandem with my shiny new KS-LE for backup purposes.

Thanks, but I don't just need "anything cheap" - my current Kimsufi server (which I - surprise! - use extensively), from one of previous BFs, beats the cited one in terms of cost-performance.
Just to confirm that the KS-7, available once in a while at $10, is very good and robust.
I've got to say, I can't fault kimsufi for reliability. I've had my KS-1 for over 8 years, and I've had no noticeable outages over that time. I was somewhat lazy with server admin for a long period of time, despite it being my primary box for source control and shell use, and was a little surprised when I upgraded because debian 7 reached its LTS, and I realised that I had an uptime of over 3 years. The disk is pretty old now, obviously, but was brand new when I got it.

How does one transfer safely?
Can transfer my account. Since their customer support taking 2 weeks to response.
I assume they allow this? I just don't want to be f**ked over if you know what i mean.
e.g. being banned, or recovering account 6 months later etc

If you have a Kimsufi US account, will gladly take it from your hands using the usual sluggish transfer way
