    Not exactly, there are anime adapted from manga or visual novels but some are original.

    Usually it's the other way around (anime from manga) but there are in fact some manga based on or related to an anime.

    For animes, I realy don't know, since I love VN much more,
    and I read too many novels.

    Those novels I like have anime(some of them I watched, some of them not):
    1. Nourin
    2. seirei tsukai no blade dance
    3. ryuuou no Oshigoto!
    4. kono subarashii sekai ni bakuen wo
    5. Denpa Onna to Seishun Otoko(ground control to psychoelectric girl)

    On the VN subject I forgot to mention that I absolutely love Higurashi. One of the songs started playing and I remembered it.

    Yes, some manga/novel/VN are adapted from anime, but they are rare now.
    Moreover, more and more anime are adapted from manga/novels.

    So far I've been only watching Komi-san Blah Blah and I plan on watching the rest of Eighty-Six too

    :'( Usually for novel-adapted, I already read the novel or do not like it. So most of time I lost interest.
    So I already read novel of those: mushoku, assassin, isekai shokudou, shinka no mi. :s
    And if I want to watch, I would choose like Non Non Biyori Nonstop.
