What will you be looking for on Black friday?

skorupionskorupion Member, Host Rep

I will most likely be looking for something like this:

2500+ GB5 score
4-8GB RAM
75-200 GB SSD/NvME
1 Gbps @ 2 TB
1 IPv4
/64 or /48 IPv6
Nested Virtualisation enabled
Europe
for about 6$/month (not yearly payment)

  • I'll be looking for a few different VPS plans, mostly in Europe - all for different purposes, but the main thing is that I'm hoping to get about 50% off the 'normal' price, in a recurring deal. Here's hoping...!

    For VPS:
    Storage
I will be mainly looking for storage offers, you can never have too much storage
2nd priority, high bandwidth servers with low specs for VPN/reverse proxy.

    For Dedis
Powerful processors (amd ryzen, intel i7/i9, etc) with or without GPU

  • Unsustainable deals... :*

    Singapore with 2GB Ram for ~ $30/y

  • I need a seedbox I think, also a dedicated server if someone can beat hetzner AX41's price.

  • no more yearly idling ....

  • Hoping for some yearly deals in these locations: Russia, Australia, China, South America, Northern Europe

    2GB RAM
    10 GB SSD
    1 TB+ Traffic

Both. We are keeping weekly backups going back 2 weeks.

We will also start offering storage space with our VPS for user backup very soon.

Going to need another 8 to 10TB i guess.

  • a good offer from @PHP_Friends and @Francisco and @dustinc (Ryzen in NL?)

why limit yourself for BF, why not just request the following:

    25000+ GB5 score
    48-84TB RAM
    75-200 PB Super NvME
    10000 Gbps @ 999 PB

That's totally doable for some providers, some flash deals that run out in seconds could do that. I don't know why are you acting like that.

    CPU GB5 Score?

Need a "Barely care or don't care at all" option. I never measured any GB score for my VPSes.

    Amount of IPv6

Need "Zero" option. Besides a few nerds on this forum, no one gives a fuck about IPv6.

    Price (per month)

    Need "Less than $1" option.
Main source of fun during BF is trying to catch highly limited unbelievable offers.

Although unlikely, I still hope to catch some mad offer - I idle too many VPSes already. Need to cut down idling costs.

    P.S.
Besides all that, I'd appreciate smaller shared hosting offers, but with unlimited domains.

In all the cheap shared hosting offers I see recently no more than three add-on domains are allowed.

  • @hyperblast
    a good offer from Francisco

he never offers anything in BF, or i am not aware of the last 8 years

Unfortunately no, $6 for OP specs only summer scam hosts will do such deal or German providers who are over subsidised by government.

  • I'm looking for a killer deal on a dedi.

Looking forward to @dustinc showing the new guys how it's done and of course it won't be BF without the man himself @FAT32 and @Nekki with a perfectly healthy Emma Watson fetish.

Doesn't Contabo already offer something similar to this? But better, since they give 32TB of bandwidth at high speed.

  • KVM IPv6 only VPS on SG/JP at least 2vcore and 2 GB RAM for <7$ (monthly)

  • 50% off from reputable provider should be good enough for me ;)

  • brueggusbrueggus Member, IPv6 Advocate

    So here's my list:

    • two cheap small KVM-based idlers in OVH BHS and RBX
    • maybe a LittleVZ bundle from Gullo
    • a replacement for my Hosterlabs VPS in Montreal (not OVH)
    • two 512MB KVMs in Paris and Stockholm from Virtono if they decide to bring them back
    • an UltraVPS KVM in Moldova to replace my Cogent single-homed VPS from AlexHost
    • give Stratagem a shot if the price is right
    • same for FreeRangeCloud's new presence in Halifax
    • something with native IPv6 support in San Jose

Half of that will most likely not happen, but we'll see...

  • I just wanted a fair sustainable package, a fair price would be nice, and hosted on a very reliable new machine. Optional dedicated IP is lovable (I'm okay with NAT) and definitely not oversold. Does this exist?

I guess UltraVPS will have the same offer they have for years. 1GB and 2GB slices in Moldova and Lituania (and their other places). I don't expect anything crazy from them.
