Lol
Well, my oradea server is back up so I am happy cat. If he saves the Oradea DC it is better, i have many servers abroad, too few in romania.
The court still runs until november for now.
Maybe it'll end up being the best long term solution for folks with a box in NO. If @terrahost can keep services online until the term that people paid for (remember some are on 3 years deals) and, even better allow them to renew at the price HS sold these (cheap) it would be nicer than learning at some point in the future that the node will shut down in x days has been shut down.
I think the NO deal is exceptional. I also think terra does not lose money, especially when cramming those in better HW for higher density, but I also understand why they wont be offering same prices. They are in to make profit, not not to lose money.
I have a pending service that I paid for on the 20th of September.
Today I was charged renewal fees eventhough it was never delievered.
I would suggest anyone with pending order to cancel them now, however will we ever be able to use our credit!!
Edit : It is a blackhole I can't even cancel my pending service so it will just consume all my balance
2 best acquisition on LET this year 2021:
For people who bought the service you guys are lucky Kudos to TerraHost for honouring the price (Well but most unsustainable deals service already got deleted buy HostSolutions on Client Area anyway)
So what about the current customers in Oradea that had their server vanish for the foreeseable future? Should we expect cociu's "focus" to bring them back online or something?
Or is he just getting rid of ties with any other company so HS can officially go poof?
Bigger question is : will he remain un banned? Now that he is no longer a provider here, why are we discussing services or lack of
This has already been discussed. I don't think he'll get banned anytime soon. cociu's comeback is unlikely.
He should be tar and feathered.
The future is hazy ...
we'll know more on Monday
I suppose you did not get the joke and I leave it at that.
I miss from LET one day, just ONE DAY, and this happens!
This was a historical day in history of LET, and I was not there.
I have never understood why many people call cociu the perfume brother.
His hosting business is funded by his (and I am not joking) perfume business.
A rich life is obtained in a dangerous environment. As long as his server is stable, there will be a lot of dollars. Of course, his server seemed to put child pornography, and the police found him.
translate.google.com
His DC was literally the basement of his perfume shop in the beginning, if I remember correctly. It's been a while.
Yep, gz for a successful scam. :P
Cociu went to the Caribbean, and there are many beauties who are consuming MJJ's hosting fees.
Terrahost didnt pay any money afaik. As for cociu, he is selling house and servers.
He is a lazy man, providing a stable server can make more money. For example, many Moldova providers.
Yes, stable scams are legitimate scams.
Hey, how do I find out where are my VPS located? I wanna know if my VPS are in Romania or Norway with Terrahost.
I bought 750GB Storage VPS, under Norway-Storage when I traceroute it, it goes through Norway/Terrahost IP but then ends up in Oradea for some reason, like final destination it shows Oradea. But, my traceroute does show - https://static.xxxxxxxxxxx.terrahost.no/ at couple of hops before going to Oradea.
Also, I had bought another KVM plan, I paid in advance for 3 years (did the Triennially
billing cycle, it was the 1 TB - 40 Euro/year plan) for it, I thought it was to be in Romania but Traceroute shows it in Norway and like one of the final hops shows https://static.xxxxxxxxxxx.terrahost.no/
No records or recollection of where the VPS was (was advertised to be) when you bought it?
It's conceivable that @cociu moved VPSes later without letting people know, but this wouldn't have been fair play on his part. (I'm not saying that this happened.)
At some point @cociu routed some traffic to RO through NO. Maybe it's still the case for your VPS @ps20090 ?
@ps20090 - maybe he ensures anonymity by constantly bouncing the signal and routes, so you as customer can never be tracked down.
