    This is subjective. Maybe now it stinks, after the refunds in credit. But for many years when people were hyped for storage, VPS without DMCA, and double-credit offers, his business did not stink back then.

    The smell always changes as a beautiful fragrance slowly fades away, even though we may not like the smell which was hidden.

    Everything is subjective in a light of bancruptcy.

    I would use "famous" rather than popular, as in "cociu is infamous on LET".
