Was last year 4th July this slow?
Offering doubled RAM and some crazy dedicated server deals!
Check it out here
A bit slow today innit?
Its 8am in the US of A (5am west coast). Give it some time :-)
Of course, because servers are always 100% utilized and fuck making a profit/living, right?
keep in mind, that Optane DC Persistent Memory is limited to Intel only, while world is moving towards AMD and ARM platforms
*tumbleweed rolling across thread*
Servers are usually not 100% utilized - they are slightly or massively oversold, including those advertised as "fully dedicated resources".
My calculation assumes no overselling.
Income: $869.00
Costs: $783.76
Net profit: $85.24
Intel releases new CPU every other year, fully backwards compatible.
Optane is a major innovation so that you can have massive amount of memory cheaply.
If AMD doesn't catch up, nobody wants AMD anymore.
Also, AMD deleted an instruction from the CPU, causing programs compiled for older CPU to crash on newer CPU.

Unlimited Bandwidth : On this server, you can reach the specified maximum connection speed. We will not apply any Bandwidth limit. However, if you use 75% of this port speed for more than 12 hours (continuously), your server's network speed will be limited to 50%.

@Hostigger
When same server will be available in NL or already ended?
It's not Hostigger, but you should have look at this offer:

Hello there,
Amsterdam is out of stock on the current server. We are about to agree with a datacenter for the new server. In the coming days, there will be a sales plan where we will not have stock shortages.
Thank you for your patience.
it does not matter how frequent Intel is releasing refreshment of refreshment of refreshment of 10nm++++++++++++++++
yes, Optane DC WAS great, HAD great potential... but not made big impact on market (price not so great and paired with not so great Intel...). even Micron just exited this jointventure formed with Intel to produce Optane
it is quiet opposite, it is AMD is rising itn server sales, while Intel is trying to catchup with PCI-e 4.0 and I/O lines
AMD already has better IPC, more cores (which means higher density in datacenter), lower power consumption (electricity cost is rising), better litography (7nm vs. 10nm++++++++++), is cheaper and has no all these (Spectre/Meltdown/LazyFPU/TLBleed/L1TF/Foreshadow/SPOILER/SpectreRSB/ZombieLoad/Fallout/RIDL/SWAPGS) security features... I amen vulnerabilities
in server big scale usage (cloud/hyperscalers/onpremise not we LET/hobbyst etc.), nobody uses old binaries, compiled few years ago for different/ancient instruction set
modern software development implies CI/CD pipelines, where delivering actual build (i.e. compiling to binary) is seamless process
look at Apple M1. released complete new CPU last November, and how fast software industry has adjusted to it
look at adoption rate of ARM at Ampere Altra, Amazon Graviton/Graviton2, nVidia Bluefield DPUs, Neoverse etc.
so some instruction from 2009 does not matter now, don't cry for them, as now you are using current OSes (not from 2009) and software for it is crafted for current generation hardware (not from 2009)

Nice!
What about gaming servers ?
Hi,
TR = E7-48xx v3, v4 - E7-88xx v2
US = E5-2673 v4
NL = E5-2650L v2
Has been a while that I had to use so much willpower to close a tab. Good deal @terrahost!
These are DDoS Protected, but the details on it are not ready yet. More information coming over summer.
Placed an order with you guys for Kansas, can't wait to try it out :-)
Kudos on having Kansas City as an available location.
Anything from @hosthatch yet? I have been searching but no hits.
They're adding Singapore and Tokyo location and also upgrade all locations to 10GBits or 40GBits connectivity. I'd be surprised if they're launching a big 'flash deal'.
currently focused on our APAC (more BW will be included in SG and JP) and Los Angeles expansion and on customer feedback received ;-)

Good to hear that.
I thought they abandoned those location.
According to his comment they're making progress on it: https://www.lowendtalk.com/discussion/comment/3248922/#Comment_3248922
@terrahost anything a little low-end? IYKWIM? Maybe 8TB instead of 16?
Good offers!
How could I reinstall the OS with your panel?
