Maybe it's because of your old kernel and you'd fare better on a super current kernel?

now i am tempted to get buyvm services again. just order a new one and waiting for provisioning...

a little question.. how can i request for DA and softaculous license ? do i just need to open ticket after my vps provisioned ?

For what it's worth, I just tested on mine (BuyVM Slice 4096) and I got 4199 single core, 4008 multi-core: https://browser.geekbench.com/v4/cpu/15398096. That's on Linux 5.4.0, node KVM-44.LV.BUYVM.NET.

For comparison, a benchmark I did last year on the old VPS was 3432 for single-core and 3290 for multi-core: https://browser.geekbench.com/v4/cpu/compare/15398096?baseline=12497720
