CC is trash, LEB is an utter shithole, but at least we all already know that, and how to work around it. Its just part of using LET.
If LES was ran by a non-hosting related company or individual - that would make more sense. But I find it hard to believe that there won't be any conflict of interest down the road, when someone offers a better price in the same location, or if someone bashes Anthony (whom I do not actually know) and/or his service, be it justified or not.
As they say - only time will show. But I have my doubts.
Luckily - we can be a part of both forums, and make our own conclusions :-) I don't think there is a need to say "leave LET, go to LES", or vice versa.

Think they'll do pretty well...if they can maintain the friendly vibe as they grow. Which is a hard ask as this place demonstrates.

I think more digital ink spilt on LET or LES is pointless. Just try both and decide which one works better and divide the time spent accordingly. One man's meat is another's poison, although I would say that the evidence before me shows that LES is better managed and has a much more collegial atmosphere. That's not going to change drastically unless Anthony sells it to a company specialising in gastroenteritis.
Just be thankful this isn't WHT

They did this kind of mistake on LEB and they killed it. LET has traffic that gained mostly from this kind of discussion. If they kick out those members by themselves, then, LET will die, too.
Webhostingtalk has tons of more offers than LET and LEB combined. Is it nowadays a forum with real members? Ask any provider, he will tell you that a post on LET, HB or some other smaller but alive forums will gain them much more valid sales than WHT (than once was the real king). So, the number of offers is not in any way a sign of a valid community that gains profit and CC only interested on profits.
It's something like google ads. It will be much more profitable to advertise on selected trusted websites than just throw an ad on google, even if you will reach more audience. Quality over quantity is the key.
That is true. There is no mod team there. Also, considering the CC shit the mod team here has to mop up regularly, yes the mod A-team is here.

CC stands to benefit from keeping this forum alive. Which means that they're only going to crush things that threaten their profits in some way. Which is precisely what happened. Doesn't change anything about them being the ultimate overlord of the place.
Have you considered that that might be because all of the helpful and well-intentioned users have jumped ship, because they're tired of CC's constant meddling and scamming, and they don't intend to contribute towards their SEO farm?
I'd explain to them at length how that was a product of their own making.
