  • @cociu probably would have gotten better result using longer time and less parallel streams, like 4-8.

  • @cociu Any glimpse into what kind of deals we should expect around Black Friday?

I am looking for a 200-300 GB storage and ~1GB RAM KVM VPS from around January end. Any port speed, bandwidth, and some useable CPU would do as I don't use it much. Currently on Time4VPS but have to migrate due to price increase (also their 1TB and 8TB are overkill for me). Do you allow private trackers (with limited I/O)? My usage will never hit any limit anyway.

What I need definitely is good download speed to my home country India. Where can I check download speeds?

  • Devil said: What I need definitely is good download speed to my home country India. Where can I check download speeds?

you have 30 days money back guarantee in this offer for exemple ..

I am PMing you a test file I use for cociu network diagnostics from friends homes.

@cociu: the fiber replacement looks like a HUGE improvement.
I went from 2mbit to 33-36 mbit(4MB/s) sustained download speed (per thread)

I have to admit, now that the network and images and at least the biggest part of the panel are fixed my servers work like a charm.

like i have told , thanks to all for patciense , finnaly all can be resolved , working today with GTS implementation so will me small interruption between 14.00-18.00 romanian time and after this no more downtimes/problems

  • @cociu will there be migration of the OVZ plans to KVM in the next months and I hope we will keep our active discounts in the new pricing. Would really like to upgrade to a non EOL debian version even if it means a new install.

  • networks super fast now, congrats @cociu

    That's SmokePing.

I like those graphs as they show you packet loss (color), average latency (vertical position), jitter (grey shadows) on a time scale.

    Good job @cociu, keep going!

  • Those who didn't stick through the shit with @cociu will be kicking themselves soon enough and denying it publicly.

  • Speeds seem very consistent through the day.

I've been maxing out my 50mbit downstream to fill my local cache of full HD isos.

Gotta use up that monthly ISP cap.

    @cociu

Do you have a 100mb test file link that I can use to check speed?

  • @cociu

    My story
I first bought VPS from HostSolutions about 2 years ago. Offer 2core 2 gb ram 5.97 / 3 monts. In general, I was satisfied, only old templete was not good for me and OVZ got stuck a couple of times, but this was my first VPS OVZ so I really did not know how it should work.

Then I bought VPS from HostSolutions on BF2018. Offer 4core-4gbram-400gb hdd-40$/yr-10tb/mo. It was LXC and it worked very strange, my 4-cores LXC VPS were equal in performance to the single-core OVZ6 VPS . I waited about 3 months to solved it, but it turns out that HostSolutions had problems with the module and all tickets were lost. I requested a refund. I was very angry because HostSolutions ruined my plans because I wanted to use this VPS as the main one for the site, nextcloud and seedbox. Thanks god I bought a backup VPS from other provider with simil specifications. After this incident, I did not consider HostSolutions as the main VPS, and Storage offers only as a secondary backup box or seedbox.

Then in May I decided to try HostSolutions again because it was a cheap offer. I planned to use for VPN / ShadowSocks / Proxy. The only problem is the old OVZ templates, but one user wrote instructions on how to update on debian. I was pleased with the speed, even wrote a review about this VPS https://www.lowendtalk.com/discussion/157696/review-of-hostsolutions-small-vps .

Then in June I bought Storage 1TB VPS for 2 years. Had the same problems wirh templates as OVZ Small offer. It was very cheap because there was a big discount in the form of 49off cupon and 50off credits.

After month Hostsolutions said that need to change ip for my Small VPS. After a few months later, problems began with the network and the panel module. So I had to buy a new VPS for VPN from another provider because i couldn't normal use of Small VPS. I couldn't normal use my Storage VPS too.

In general, over the past year there have been a lot of problems with HostSolutions and I can say that I am not satisfied with the quality of services over the past year. Even if it is cheap there shouldn’t be so many problems, but they should be solved in a couple of days, but not more than 2 weeks.

IMO @cociu should have fixed the network before opening this sale.

    No doubt

    @vimalware said:
My speeds were in mbit. 4-5 mbit is around 500-600 KB/s

    Yep same here

    Agree.

Promotions with 50off credits is good, but you still not solved the current problems, but already ask to trust more and add more money, it doesn’t look beautiful. I already have a offer for 2 years, this is already a huge trust with the current problems. I can assume that they had very high expenditures to solve current problems and they decided to partially solve this by credits. But still I think you did wrong with 50off credits. You could have done it after solving the problems and it looked like an apology.

As a client, I want you to inform us about current problems, decisions that you make to solve these problems by email. I do not read topics on LET every day. And I prefer to be informed by email. Thanks.

I see that you are making big changes that should change the situation for the better with the main problems that now exist. Therefore, I hope that in the future there will no longer be such a huge problems. And next year it will be decisive for me to remain your client or not because I will no longer be so understanding person.

    1 TB VPS $48.45USD/2year
3 option will be ok. It is 2 year offer and you should apply a coupon code kvm50% as it was posted befor. It will be look like KVM 1 TB VPS $75USD/2year. If it was 1 year offer you should apply cupon code kvm40%

    1) montly payments 10% Recurring for life using cupon code kvm10%

I can confirm the routing has changed a few hours ago from Liberty Global to GTS, in and out for my destinations.

I will wait a bit to see if things are improving, but right now the bandwidth looks worse again. It doesn't completely break down like it did before with the damaged fiber. But whereas I was getting constant 95 Mbps after the replaced Liberty Global fiber, throughput now starts to go down to ~10 Mbps again.

Maybe it might need some traffic engineering how to use the best of Liberty Global and GTS connectivity.
