I am thinking of running a webserver on an IPv4 anycast network. Is this justification enough to get a /24? I'd prefer a block from RIPE or ARIN if that matters.

It wouldn't be for ARIN (if you're only running a single web server). I know ARIN requires that you have an immediate use for at least 25% of your block.

There was no special conditions. We made written agreement. And that was about it.

What did you mean by "Written Agreement".
Did you transfer IP block to your ARIN's Organization using "Transfers to Specified Recipients Within the ARIN Region (NRPM 8.3)"

fxf said: I'm just curious what you meant by, "under some conditions".

    • You need to set up an Organization in the ARIN.
    • You can submit a request to get approval for "8.3 Specified Recipient Transfer"
    • You also need to submit justification. Based on your justification ARIN will approve you for the height block size you can transfer.

if I want to buy (not lease) a /24 in the RIPE region, are there any realistic scenarios where it makes sense not to register as a LIR?

Wouldn't you need a LIR account to hold the allocation bought anyway?

Possibly. I'm not sure if older blocks can still be PI assigned. I'm curious why ipv4auctions is so much more expensive for blocks in the RIPE region, especially small blocks.

I have seen PI allocations being used and even being for sale/being sold lately, so eh, I would say they still are. Afaik RIPE, however, enables LIRs to convert PI space into PA space. Correct me if I'm wrong.

  • jhjh Member

Are there small legacy blocks within reach of mere mortals? Obviously it would be more expensive but there are some advantages and it could prove to be a nice investment.

Does anyone have any /24s for under 85$ in ARIN or that can be announced in North America still?

  • Awmusic12635Awmusic12635 Member, Host Rep

We now have some IPv4 space available in the ARIN region for lease.

    If interested: [email protected]

I have 3x /24 for lease in the RIPE region. Established and stable company in the UK. Preference for long term leases to established companies.

Usual exclusions apply: bulk mailing, VPN, proxy, TOR etc.

    PM for more information.

I've a couple of /24's in ARIN region I'd be willing to lease out. Email me at [email protected] if you're interested.

    Hi

I can offer RIPE IPv6 /48 PA for 30.- CHF/year and RIPE ASN registration for 60.- CHF (one-time).

    PM for more details.

  • Please remove RMLH from the list. Bought more than two months ago, never got an answer and didn't get a refund, which means I was basically scammed for 60.50€.

Ended up buying from @ced1202 who was extremely fast.

How did you try to contact him?

Well, I paid directly on the website, then opened a support ticket and sent an email to the address that sent the invoice (which was admittedly a "no-reply" one). I guess the website is now offline and a new email address (sales [at] rmlh.uk) is shown, I'll try to contact that one too.
