I think I saw 2 iops and some KB on some thread.
I had some ide 80 GB disk that looked perfectly normal at first. I was installing windows 98 on it for work and after a few hours was still not done.
Then i put it in another computer and started doing some banchmarking which was showing almost normal results, but after a few hours was still not complete.
Then I put it to transfer some data to fll it trying to see if it will at least work as an USB storage drive, next day I came at work was not done copying some 30 GB, was close to 40 % and the transfer speed was 44-45 kb/s.
I cannot imagine what makes a drive go like that first be almost normal and degrade in time. Probably some cache...

  • @chrismiller

Any reason why my up and down speed are terribly slow? Up to some areas is less that half a meg and never reaches any higher..

I was told by Luis and Jason the VPS is limited due to the migration.. But seriously it's been ages and I'm suffering the consequences because of it...

When I purchased these VPSs I was offered a 100mbit line with them you aren't offering this to me at the present time..

  • since my vps migration from UK to LA Blacklotus i never got issue has been 1 month,
sir luis help me very well to solved my problem

  • My case got marked as resolved ... seems this is now acceptable then ?

My server in LA just randomly went offline..

    2 min later

And now it's randomly back up..

    Node LA6

    Hello,

Sorry for the troubles. The server went down due to kernel panic thus,We did reboot the server to got the issue fixed. The containers are staring one by one.Hence your VPS will be back to online within a while.

    Thanks

I have submitted ticket #NYP-470-95556. Turns out there are a few other issues, as well. Hopefully, they can be addressed/fixed. Thanks.

  • Raised a ticket for poor IO on two servers.. heres the response..

    Hi,

We will check the issues in the server and let you know

    Hello,

I have disabled some of the VPS's which were consumed huge load on the server. You should now get some good I/O speed from the server.

Please do verify and let us know,If any concerns.

    Hello,

Be informed that getting more than 100 MB/s is going to be the good for a VPS environment. Thus,I should say that our servers in which your VPS located are getting good I/O performance.

Both of the servers are consuming around 6% of I/o wait on the hole.So from my point of you ,it would have been great.

    Thanks for your understanding.

    Thanked by 1Lee

poor i/O that not true got more 100mb/s still good
    many provider under 100mb/s

  • LeeLee Veteran

    @ATHK - Those responses..... My favourites;

Be informed that getting more than 100 MB/s is going to be the good for a VPS

6% of I/o wait on the hole

    lol

  • What does 6% of I/o in the hole even mean? @W1V_Lee ?

Anyway that's the typical response you get sometimes worse like he pings the wrong server and tells you yours is a o k .. They apparently had a restructure of their support (according to the Facebook page) but Luis is the only person to respond to my tickets..

I really really wish that Chris didn't sell to RLT...

I think he means there server is only showing 6% IOWait. But still, if you can't manage basic English on a support desk it will just cause confusion and annoyance for the customer.
