out of stock again.. waiting for one..

I still remember last year I bought SYS and KS servers, they did not try to solve the network problems even if many people reported the same issue, so good luck. Stay away with OVH and Online.net. Hetzner for love.

    What's problem?

Just be aware the discount doesn't seem to be recurring.

Does that mean from next month it's €19?

    Good catch, I believe it's non-recurring.

It just means that the prices would be valid as long as you keep the server. KS offers have always been like that.

From what I remember on the KS Flash sales, they always mentioned this and what they mean is that this price is recurrent until you cancel the contract (and the contract IS valid till explicitly cancelled or till you DONT pay at which point the contract "ceases to exist") and the contract is for €12.99 (ex VAT) per month (recurring!).

So I'm pretty sure there's no reason to fear a jump next month or whenever.

I'll add the fine print that in the past, one in a few years, they've raised the price by €1 on a couple of occasions to factor in increased DDoS costs.

Kimsufi is not Online, it should be recurrings.

It is recurring as mentioned above, the duration of the 'contract' is how long you choose to keep the server.

Wow, this is great! Anyone got one? What cpu? I'd love something like that with 2 drives and in BHS. It could cost a bit more obviously. I'd be right on this except I migrated from a 1 drive Atom to a 2 drive Atom recently. I'm planning to de-RAID the 2 drive Atom to have 2x the space, since it's for static backups so there's already other copies of the data.

  • No SSD no buy.

It will be great when they offer a 2TB SSD for this price :)

  • Even single 120-240 GB would be nice.

  • KS-9 in BHS please.

Moar HDD please :) These are primarily storage boxes as far as I'm concerned. Would love one with 2x4TB or something like that.

Why does anyone even want a single drive ssd box? I don't mind a single drive hdd backup server but ssd to me implies live data, so you really want some kind of raid.

Or just frequent backups, e.g. every 6 hours. If LET loses 6 hours worth of posts it would be a bit annoying, but not the end of the world. So even a site such as LET could run on a single SSD. Not to mention sites without comments or other user-generated content, which are mostly static and updated once every couple of days.

90% of my servers are single drive, runs fine, I mean seriously, like every two years a drive goes boom but very rarely.

Obviously I have daily snapshots of the VM's so just in case, all is good.
RAID was invented, to make people believe, their data is safer as before but its not really.

  • Offsite backup >>> Raid 1

Thats the real real shit, pure bare metallica.

  • It's possible buy kimisufi dedicated and buy a cloud vps at OVH, buy some ips to cloud in ovh and create a tunnel to use ovh ips in kimisufi server?

yea, you could tunnel them via GRE.
But make sure to get at least the same location to minimize latency.

I couldn't see a separate post or comment here (may have missed it though) but the KS10 seems to be having a flash sale at the minute.
