@ninzo59: I am in need of some storage server on SYS, do you have any estimation on the available time? Thanks.

after doing more research on kimsufi, look like their support not good enough and sometime can take upto 72 hours to reply ticket.

i will keep my wholesaleinternet then.

such a nice price/performance offer. Too bad 100mbps fuck

also, idk about kimsufi. but Wholesaleinternet does indeed respond ~5-15min

  • LeeLee Veteran

I raised a couple of support issues in the past 24 hours and the responses were near instant. I was surprised.

  • I've had a good response from tickets with Kimsufi and SoYouStart. Yet, a ticket I opened with OVH directly is still open over a month later !

Received my KS-9 after 2 long days.

Not bad after all which comes with 2 x 300GB (Intel 320) SSDs even though 1 drive is 40k+ power on hours and another drive is 20k+ power on hours.

I won't get different network. So the result is same as others KS-3/KS-7 or whatever.

I've used checkservers.ovh before for notification via email.

metadedi's discord can do notifications too I think

also I would imagine serverhunter might do notifications as well

So you start. Then you wait.

I've waited and checked sometimes.. no luck at all.
But found KS-9 during KS-7 sales and bought it eventually.

    No magic nor tacking any.

Real question: what do people do with these? Price/performance ratio is pretty bad, even considering the sale. Network speed is atrocious in 2019. And these "flash sales" are happening every couple of week now which makes me thing nobody is actually buying this aging hardware anymore, probably because of the aforementioned reasons.

In my case I've been using this as a dedicate plex server i3/8GB is able to playback as direct play anything 720p/1080p web-dl/encodes, 1080p Remux, and some 4k Remux when I tried in the past (2-3 or 2-4 transcodes, I tried 2 at same time and it was fine). Today just tried 2 titles on 4k Remux that were my nightmare and this box playback without any buffering after I made some tweak and setup cloudflare. These titles have been tested on many boxes like SYS, OVH, Heztner, and LWS, all them were giving to me buffering without tweak or cloudflare setup. The second reason could be a cheap seedbox to get files from usenet or public sites, they aren't the best option to race, but believe or not can make really good as long term seeding on many sites after it is tweak or tuned properly.

awaiting delivery since last about 24 hours...

Waiting as well, since the 29th. Whats the usual turn around for these?

  • hkmixhkmix Member

    Offer expired

  • Bench from tiny VM on top of KS-9. Network isn't great but performance of the server is indeed worth it.

Took roughly 4 days this time for me.
