So today I am wondering what the cost will be to keep my Phoenix Ryzen Alpha VPS.
Does anyone know? Has it been mentioned anywhere?

    Maybe it got omicroned.

Pffft most of the world wrongly gave us (South Africa) another instant travel ban last week, because of Omicron

And with it the ZAR tanked again to the USD and it makes my BF/CM even more expensive

and the irony is, there is no real valid reason to have done that... we were merely the first to successfully identify and genetically sequence it and made the data publicly available
(we actually have one of the world's most advanced medical genetic sequencing and virology research facilities etc etc)

    OMICRON

Hi @imok how are you doing?
I wonder what VirMach is up to these days. He's been quite. Too quite.

  • Hi! Good. Cleaning some servers. Freeing space.

How is the day? I need a pool.

    @VIIIIRRRMMAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACCHHHH

    Thanked by 1FrankZ
  • The pool would be good.
But I'm too tired now, maybe later.
I've been up all night rebuilding a server that had "drive issues".
Replaced a couple of drives and moved all the data.
It's running well now. Fingers crossed.

All mine in Seattle, San Jose, Los Angeles, Phoenix, Dallas, Atlanta, Chicago, Buffalo, and Amsterdam are up. The three in Amsterdam are running 7-20% steal rates, which is higher then normal, but it is not having any real negative effect.
    Where are you seeing issues?

Was this a ryzen deal or a an upgrade you won during the BF sales?

That is the Ryzen alpha that can be gone any moment and we are just testing it.
At least I am. Burning CPU :D

    EDIT:
Has anyone else captcha went low quality too? I can cant single pixels on those images :D

  • If it can be gone at any moment, then ELK stack it will be.

  • Also, I was thinking on this...

    I'm not sure...

Had noticed that too. Didn't investigate since I was still able to prove I was human-adjacent.

I think IA works fine on smaller and grayscale pictures. High quality and colors are just for us.
