Like the ones we've never seen before? as in BF bonanza kind?
Weren't there supposed to be bonanza BF style EU VPS offers 'as soon as it gets restocked'?
(since they were out of stock during BF/CM)
... still waiting for those
ColoCrossing sold us a bunch of servers under the false pretense that they would add a Frankfurt location for us. @jbiloh was unable to convince his (former) company that this was important to us and they instead elected to cancel that portion of the order.
Therefore we had to fit more people in Amsterdam than anticipated as the servers that Serverhub provided us continued to degrade without them doing the required hardware replacement. Amsterdam sold out fairly quickly but obviously we are not interested in expanding with ColoCrossing at this time given their track record. We're planning to move toward colocation for Europe but as usual strapped on time. We do have it all planned out though so hopefully we'll move forward with that soon and potentially have actual space to sell in EU for next Black Friday, if we do decide to do a sale.
E3, /29, 32GB RAM, 2x512 GB SSD, 4TB BW, $30
Yearly ?
What? Did you think I was going to pay monthly for that?
If you ask nicely you might get a lifetime deal for old timers.
San Jose or Piscataway, NJ
2 core, 2GB RAM, 20GB SSD, 1TB BW, $10 yr
Can you do a rerun of the $2/yr 2GB VPS from last BF please? Well.. um guarantee that everyone here gets one (and only one is reasonable)?
Edit: Actually, anything with >= 2 core and ram in the west side
Will there be a Black Friday this year?
Good morning
There is a black friday every year.
It is not a real black Friday without VirMach
Good Morning to you too
@saibal - It seems that the 237 bus has passed us by ...
Is Virmach alive?
He was two days ago.
Yeah, and so has VirMach
I should go to sleep but I need to work because there is a lack of automation. It's midnight.
Mostly dealing with fixing corrupt databases while getting yelled at by a few hundred people.
I have a server that suddenly gets frozen until reboot. It's a VM running on Proxmox.
But this is nested virt.
Any ideas where to look?
Generally a thankless job, although there are a few of us that appreciate what you do.
Running Proxmox on debian instead of Centos will help.
What?
What what?
EDIT: going to re-clarify here...
Do you have a server running Proxmox on debian and the problem is with a VM on that server, running Centos, locking up?
Yes.
Have you tried disabling the disk cache?
Setting disk on the VM to "no cache"
EDIT: IE. in VM config file.
efidisk0: rpool-store:105/vm-105-disk-1.qcow2, cache="no cache", size=25G
Reinstalled everything and it's working fine now
anybody alive?
