When I was 12 or something, I used to dream about being able to transfer anything (basically 5 senses) with Internet. At that time hearing and vision are the only two that actually works.
I dream about fundamental cartridges (like those ink cartridge) which can be used to construct and form any smell or taste. Technically we can kind of touch something now thanks to 3D printer, but it is not the same object that is actually being touched.
Hope that I am able to see more crazy innovations in my lifetime.
