Uni project sponsorship is weird because no one who benefits from its sponsor is grateful for anything. They feel entitled and actually get angry when denied of further resources.
Yeah I feel bad for them. The Indians and Bangladeshis. Some of them come working in Malaysia as waiter, cleaner, construction workers, security guards while in reality they have Degrees, be it engineering, general medicine, computer science, etc.
This is why personal savings is very very important, start when youre still a kid. Save $10 USD/month. in 1 year you have $120 , do this for 15 years (lets say you start saving at age 7). When you reach 22 years old, you already have $1800. Invest it in bitcoin. Profit.

Sadly, there are universities who do have ICT departments but filled with idiots managing it (this is changing though)
I completed my Masters from one of the country's known university and handled/advised/suggested most of the IT/ITES stuff for the institute, but being a Govt. controlled university, the idiots at the top management failed to understand any of it. I doubt they even know how a data packet is sent from one place to another. But they are there because of the Govt. policy to hire idiots based on their caste (reservation quota) and not on merit. SAD REALITY!
Anyways, so I'm 50-50 that the OP really needs a sponsorship for his university project and we can help provided he has an backing from his faculty (which can easily be verified by a single call) and also provide enough proof about his real identity.

If anyone (not only from India) signs up on LET and asks for a free VPS in his very first comment/thread, then, yes, people will be skeptical and will have questions. If you find this kind of reaction unreasonable, then I encourage you to reach out to the OP and to offer him a free VPS. I don't see that you've done this.
