hopefully Monday the server will be ready.

You would get 5 by default. However, just open a support ticket once your server has been provisioned and we'll gladly provide an extra 2 free of charge.

Also, I am in no way attempting to attack or belittle you, or you services. I just don't see why you offer gbit "burstable" as an upgrade if your own (I presume) personal server and test file don't seem to have this option. Maybe you could provide me a test that is actually gbit?

Our speed test file is hosted on a 100 Mbps server. We will be updating our speed test options with a server on a 1 Gbps line here soon. Customer lines are provided at full 1 Gbps speeds, perhaps someone on this thread that has our gigabit service could provide a few results.

Well hopefully that is sometime soon, I had a VPS a long time ago with you and it was fairly nice for some test projects. I wouldn't mind trying a dedi.

Sounds good! As you can see above the results are pretty good out of our 100 Mbps service, we've seen clients being able to push a full gig on our burstable 1 Gbps ports without a problem.

  • We have updated the order links to include additional inventory for anyone that was receiving a "sold out" message.

So here's bench.sh. I have to say for a gigabit connection the download speeds are mostly disappointing.

CPU model : AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 5000+ Number of cores : 2 CPU frequency : 1000.000 MHz Total amount of ram : 3828 MB Total amount of swap : 3965 MB System uptime : 7:41, Download speed from CacheFly: 46.2MB/s Download speed from Coloat, Atlanta GA: 23.1MB/s Download speed from Softlayer, Dallas, TX: 7.11MB/s Download speed from Linode, Tokyo, JP: 3.90MB/s Download speed from i3d.net, NL: 5.28MB/s Download speed from Leaseweb, Haarlem, NL: 4.76MB/s Download speed from Softlayer, Singapore: 613KB/s Download speed from Softlayer, Seattle, WA: 5.63MB/s Download speed from Softlayer, San Jose, CA: 6.25MB/s Download speed from Softlayer, Washington, DC: 32.7MB/s

This is downloading the test file which sees a full 10Mbit. However I haven't seen much higher than the 46MB/s

Ended up having to cancel service. Gigabit port was about 1/2 of a gigabit port. Also TOS states no refunds so I literally paid $32 for 10 hours of use lol. Be careful.

Please reference your ticket number and we'll have a look at your port to make sure its configured correctly. We will guarantee that you're able to reach the full gigabit.

Our test file is on a 100 Mbps port. As mentioned in our last comment, please update your support ticket with these results and we'll get this corrected for you guaranteed.

@VolumeDrive your supports response was that it was configured properly.

    Their exact response is here

A customer support staff member has replied to your support request, #370779 with the following response:

The cable was already connected to the correct NIC and our network configuration checks out.
