I can't speak for their service but I really hate their TV advertising. In Aus recently they played the ad every other break and its message was basically "if you don't use NordVPN you will get hacked and lose all your data" - no maybe, no *, just straight out scare mongering.
Sadly to the layperson, scare mongering tactics actually work really well. I wouldn't be surprised if they do make a majority of their money by running TV ads like that.
