Indeed, what with the Pirate bay in the news for this. There's probably quite a lot of incarnations that steal CPU but performance is generally poor. I've considered using a proof-of-work algo like hashcash for filling in contact forms, but the end user's capabilities are so variable and can be spoofed easy enough.

When the GPU get unlocked, I suspect a lot more of this kind of thing can happen. As a genuine form of payment, it could be pretty cool... it's just basically using your power company as a credit card.

We don't have any problem with mining, you get your service and are free to use as you wish (as long as permitted by law).

No they aren't. The 'value' is only what people agree on.

No, I mean technology value. Blockchain is currently being applied in banking by IBM, for example. The contract technology in Ethereum is currently being researched to use for distributed computing which can resolve a lot of problems even supercomputers can't.

I'm totally not pissed how long and expensive it is to send Bitcoin in comparison to using PayPal. Not only is PayPal faster, the only addresses you'll need to remember is a friend's email.

  • its a long way to go, but eventually some crypto currency will survive and could be used daily basis, transactions are very very slow at this moment. bitcoin could never make it to that speed, someone was saying it would probably be used for large transactions, or may be like having gold, and then a sub crypto currency which would actually be issued which runs fast, not sure how fast a quantum computer ,if it can break all the crypto wallets.

They did math on reddit. Ads would make a lot more than shitty crypto mining in js

Had a look. Looking at the numbers I saw, you'd be better off asking a single person to run a GPU version of it for about 2 minutes and you'd have a superior throughput than the JS throughput using millions of visitors over a month.

Very nice to know that you don't kick cpu-abusers. Will avoid for anything that needs performance.

CPU abusers? O_o We provide dedicated Cores and RAM, every customer is free to use as they wish, you pay and get a service without bullshits and suspensions, unlike others.
We don't oversell resources so every customer gets the advertised performance.

You have a really nice clean minimalist website design - no information about the company itself though.

I also think this is an extremely powerful CPU for mining with good low cost. I am amazed you mentioned it, as this is a secret untold by miners, because it is so good for mining that only large pools should be used, with great caution not to solve everything and grab all that money.

  • @default Like they said in Hackers- RISC is the future, man!

  • Is it really worth it to put the mining js code on website?

If you have a couple million visitors a week, sure.

Actually it's never worth it. If you have that many visitors, ads will always make more sense, even if those ads paid less than 1 penny per 100 page views.

There are place where you can rent mining servers, what about those?

    https://hashflare.io/#plans

    https://www.genesis-mining.com/pricing

    https://sun-mining.com/en/prices

It's a serious question, I really don't know anything about it.

Most of these contracts getting terminated soon, so you won't make money out of it. Some would call it "scam" or ponzi ;)
