Growing too much too fast eh?
Anyone still waiting to be provisioned?
I received invoice 6 days before. I paid the invoice 3 days before. And still pending.
Got email earlier today that my vps is set up, thanks Ash! I probably won't have time to configure it or anything til this weekend.
I think something further up mentioned Ash was building out hardware. Mine took about a week, no big deal from my perspective, given that it's a long term plan.
@AshleyUk how is this sustainable? I love the offer and am willing to pay, but at the given rate of 2TB for $100 for 3 years total makes me almost worried of a dead-pool on some very important data.
My invoice is ready, so if you can explain this then im yours
"Free Addon - Open Ticket after ordering
Paying Yearly : Free Extra CPU or Free Extra 1GB RAM
Paying 3 Yearly : Extra 1TB Storage"
@AshleyUk if i buy on 3 years will i get both addons?
He has previously said that:
I'm replicating everything in at least 2 locations these days. Hopefully won't have simultaneous deadpools . I wouldn't put the only copy of anything important on any budget VPS. This VPS will hold what will for a while be my 4th copy of the same 2TB dataset (primary is on Hetzner dedi with RAID-1, so 2 copies there; backup is on 2TB Kimsufi, and then this VPS copy will be #4). But I will probably cancel the Kimsufi when it expires, and may split out the two RAID-1 drives on the Hetzner to double its storage by making it non-RAID, given the remote backup. None of it is REALLY important. If it was, I'd consider OVH Cloud Storage or something similar.
I totally understand that @AshleyUK cannot give out free upgrades to everyone, the main offer itself being already very good. That said, maybe a minor bonus can be offered as a token of goodwill, such as a little more ram or a short time extension. That would make people who committed for a long time (I'm thinking about those three years) not "regret" doing so. Or, the free upgrade could be made available at renewal, so as to encourage keeping the current package instead of jumping to new offers. Just my 2 cents, as I said the basic offer is attractive enough and leaves absolutely no room for complaint.
Just looking at that, assuming you used it for just backup and rarely need to touch it (if ever), how on earth do they make any money off of you.
Ordered my server yesterday, fast delivery, very nice. Also nice performance:

When I get my IPv6 subnet I can start my project
Ordered one at midnight, just waiting for it to be setup. Was hesitant as I don't know the Host, and having to expect/hope that the service will be around for the 3 years but the comments & reviews in other threads seemed very positive.
Anyone got their IPv6 yet?
Yes and no. Got an address yesterday via a ticket, but I had no success trying to set up routing when I tried to use it. (I accept I may have misconfigured Arch when trying to add IPv6 post install). The server control panel only indicates the IPv4 address.
If you haven’t can you drop ticket ID and will check for you.
Ticket ID: #420389 - IPv6 subnet
That should be all sorted.
I/O speed(1st run) : 155 MB/s
I/O speed(2nd run) : 253 MB/s
I/O speed(3rd run) : 339 MB/s
Average I/O speed : 249 MB/s
Hmm, I'm only getting 35~40MB/s. Anyone else tested the speed lately?
@cez
On the 7th I was getting: Average I/O speed : 194 MB/s
Today:
Just a heads up will be ending the offering Friday, so if anyone else requires one and/or addon have till then to take part in the offer.
@AshleyUk: What would you say is normal speed to storage area? Have things settled down a bit now or back-end still struggling?
Really depends on what form of I/O you doing. Being a SSD Cache infront, and network based storage is hard to say.
DD dont’t really show correct performance
We are currently adding another 50TB raw storage which also means another bunch of IOP’s.
But seeing currently no high latency on storage. If your seeing something do feel free to drop in a support ticket with your findings.

Hi, I finally know how to get IPv6 working. Keypoint is that you have to inform the system where to find the gateway: you need to assign a route to it!
I added this to my config for my primary NIC (/etc/network/interfaces in debian stretch):
Hope this will help! Regards
@oliverdorn you beauty! thank you I was missing the setting of the default route. (I had it set at one point, but in pfaffing around I had removed it)
Hello,
Is this offer still available ?
I know I'm gravedigging this thread, but I've been off LET for about 8 months because of some RL events and I've had a couple VPS with ZX for years: @AshleyUK, I know it's a long shot, but is there any chance of getting the space bump, please? xD
I'm also interested in this too. Thinking of getting the 3 years if the space can be doubled
