/thread then, if @Dewlance is getting his crew in.

No, They are not a part of my company. I know them when I was working in Freelancer.com(Now freelancer is acquired by another company) before 2009.

@jarland you can also post in Indian jobs site to get better response . Try naukri or monster !

Don't ... do that. You'll be flooded with resumes and have no way of filtering out who is bullshitting. Speaking as someone who's trying to hire right now in India.

Well he has just asked for a fight in the Cest Pit and I believe he's just posted some sort of bizarre threat on my wall, so things could get interesting.

Oh, a fight in the Cest Pit? I will fill the tub with mud already - Do you prefer any special costume for today's slaughterfest or shall I just call the ambulance for @Dewlance in advance?

You may have stumbled into wrong thread, Sir.

Oops, memory failed. I thought they were in Bangalore, didn't realize they are in Pune. Could have been a new revenue stream for a local company had I had the location right :)

deadbeef said: If they are a federal contractor or subcontractor, they are obligated by law to be an "affirmative action employer", so I suppose it's for compliance with all that.

    Note that it's also optional.

English language barrier is too great to overcome.

Out of interest: Why is DO asking "Are you Hispanic/Latino?" in their application form?

Hope they do have a solution in latam soon (TM) :)

If they're really talented, don't go for this job. It's for a support rep, not backend dev. Not saying that DO is a bad company, but the job being offered would be a waste of their talent.

Might be surprised. Support at DO has expanded my development skills far beyond anything I dreamed of before. The autonomy combined with identifying needs, amazing stuff.

I was just implying that they could get a better salary working as an actual programmmer.

But yeah, good work on configuring MXRoute :)

You gotta start somewhere. Getting a crappier job with a better business is a hell of a lot better than being the King of Sanitation at another, unless you really enjoy that sort of thing.

Well... Dewlance did say that they're experienced. (that's why I said that)

EDIT: +1, I LOL'ed when you mentioned the king of sanitation
