jarland said: I think we're all aware of the connotations that appear with the words India and outsourcing. I'm not afraid of addressing these head on, because this is really important. American companies massively outsourced support to the lowest bidders in India and created a stereotype for both American companies and Indian support. We're not outsourcing and we're not looking to get away cheap. We want the best of the best and we want them to be part of the DO family, with the same treatment and benefits that the rest of us receive.

While that is nice, polite sentiment...

I'm still curious: How does Digital Ocean handle support? Do they outsource move all of it to India, or do they "follow the sun" and have local techs working on normal business hours? @jarland

Heh, if that's true, I'd consider moving to India to live on a US tech wage.

I don't think you really want to do that.

Neither could be said as explicitly true. Nothing is moving anywhere, this is an addition. While the hires there would most likely be and are intended for when the sun is down here, we still have a team here working the same hours, and everything is up for discussion.

Based on some of the videos on YouTube, it seems likely that there would be. As a nation, India seems to like a 'prank'.

"I'm Johnny Calcutta, and this is Bhosdike!" Hell, I'd probably watch it if I was drunk enough.

I'll watch anything if I'm drunk enough. The video of ma and pa's wedding night was tough I'll admit, but I got through it.

.. and explains what happened to all of the toiletries in the house, too. Next time you're going to double-fist it, you might ask for the video of your birth. See if you can time your exits together.

I saw it too! A 5-minute video that made it into the Internet Hall of Fame in no time. Great performance! My compliments to your family. Your dad can do crazy things and your mom is the bomb!

If you invented a time machine so you could catch up with yourself later/sooner in life, I think it'd still be considered masturbation. I'm not completely certain on that, though. Perhaps we should consult a quantum physicist on this.

I think they could have lasted longer if the ocelot hadn't got loose. Pa never could resist an ocelot.

I assume we have a LowEnd one available? There's normally someone willing to weigh in on this sort of thing.

A black-hole specialist would be appropriate.

Nonono... Every minute is a masterpiece! Any more would have been overkill! I still hope they release the producer's cut one day, containing the ocelot scenes. That would be great!

I'd like to think we planned the thread to end like this. Perfection.

You don't want to know what happened to the ocelot....suffice to say that being hurled from a moving vehicle would have been a kindness in this instance.

It's available in most countries, under different names. In Russia, it's called водка, in Japan, it's known as 酒, Mexico, it's called Tequila...

The only problem is it's a one way passage into the future, and there's no return flight.
