@VortexMagnus : no way of reinstalling OS from the panel ?

Yep, you should be able to install from the client area or in Solus.

If you're having trouble with that, just pop in a ticket and we'll get you sorted.

For dedicated servers ? I did not see any option for that !

    Go to rebuild.

Pardon my noobness, but I still dont see any Rebuild option in the WHMCS client area.

It's located on SolusVM, not WHMCS

Sorry, that's in reference to VPS.

Automated OS reloads aren't available for dedicated yet in the client portal.

Thats what I thought. Will it be implemented in the near future ?

Most definitely :) we're just working on some issues with communication from the portal >> PXE.

  • This definetly needs to be done as soon as possible, been ~2 months now and OS still can't be reinstalled through client portal.

For most dedicated in the US, you can access the PXE loader via IPMI KVM console. We provide free basic OS reloads or you can do it yourself via IPMI.

We're working on the functions, but they aren't ready and will be released when they are.

That interesting way to take payments without product actually in stock, just someday..

Hardware is ordered and shipped :) Holidays delay it a bit. No reason to let some people miss out on a deal if they're okay with waiting :)

Just purchased service with them a few days ago. Decided to get rid of the few VPS's I have and just move to this dedi for the same yearly price.

Took a few days to get the server up and going. They were pretty responsive to tickets regarding getting the server provisioned after I hadn't received details within the quoted 24-48 hours. The deal also states that you will received a "E3-1230 or better". I requested whatever "better" was via a ticket after purchase and received a E3-1270v2 (they may or may not have any of these left, but doesn't hurt to ask ;)).

    Server benchmarks:

Asked about a port speed upgrade in a previous thread of theirs, but they said they won't offer any port speed increases with these servers, unfortunately. Ohh well..

Sure does. Not sure what the deal is. Maybe it's 100 mbps guaranteed and 1 gbps burstable?

    Here's some other speed tests:

  • Ordered one, I hope I get as lucky as you @MasonR

I had exactly the same experience. Deployment took a little bit longer (which is totally acceptable). Received a server with an E3-1270 on a gigabit port. It really is a great deal for a server with 16GB ram, a decent processor and IPMI access from a reputable provider.

Holy Toledo that is tempting. Must resist.... wonder if there's a cheap storage server available nearby. I'm better off spending 2x the amount on a Hetzner auction server one month at a time if I need a bunch of temporary cpu. If I get that yearly one it will be mostly idle... must resist.... resist... please Mr Borg don't let my resistance be futile :)
