Look - AWS can do much more than everyone else, yet I would never wrote that Hetzner is useless, because they don't have managed DB like Amazon when I would rate their VPSes or dedis. So maybe I don't

If Amazon & Azure can't/won't do it, why do you think dropbox will...?

Stable and Low Price? Definitely Vultr or Lightsail

How long ago was this? I'm thinking Amazon is going to come after your parents for that bill. Your expired card didn't sign up - you did, and they're responsible regardless.

You're making pretty negative assumptions. AWS has a Free Tier which is a very similar program. Do you think Amazon's Free Tier is just a giant snare to catch people at day 366 with an autorenewal?

Been using Amazon SES for a long time.

These big boys have to be stupid to be spending thousands of euros per 100G port in refurb market (or close to 10k per port new). Amazon, Meta, Google etc. must be full of idiots spending that much.

Hetzner dedicated servers with less users per machine.

Amazon EC2 or Azure probably suit your need.

Try MXRoute. They have good reviews. You can use any cheap mailer service like sendinblue, sendgrid or amazon SES etc. https://www.mailcheap.co/comparison.html Mailcheap is another option.

I'd would just do a cheap lightsail instance, but the 1-2TB is a concern.

For Transactional email service, you should check Amazon SES or Mailgun.
