When I run the command
yum update
I have this error message

Try yum upgrade --skip-broken
Make sure /etc/yum.conf does not contain "exclude=kernel*".
"exclude=kernel" is ok.
rpm -Uvh --force http://mirror.centos.org/centos/6/centosplus/x86_64/Packages/kernel-firmware-2.6.32-504.8.1.el6.centos.plus.noarch.rpmMight need a --nodeps. Then the vzkernel update should work.
FrankZ might be right with your excludes. You can use vzkernel-firmware instead of kernel-firmware as well, but it isn't necessary with CentOS/RHEL.
