8 servers idling now.
will sell them for 5/month if anyone interested.
5$ or 5Euro ?
5 euro seems ok, with paypal fees etc
for 5EUR, thats what i pay for a Kimsufi, no one will buy it.
True @Infinity580 I would rather wait for Kimsufi .
How much is paypal fee? Isn't it like 35c + 2%? I pay 20% VAT,too
no vat for me as I am outside of eu.
I will check this and will resell these servers
I have got 3 96gb servers from sys
and 3 powerfull servers from hetzner
maybe I will start resellering them soon..
Me too. Just cancelled two, I no longer need.
@camarg cancelled ? You could have outsourced it.
I cancelled two as well. I have 4 left, two of them still idling.
Reselling them for $1 profit per month is not worth the hassle of chargebacks complaints and abuse
I'm paying vat as well, so each server costs me €2.5. By outsourcing them I would have to rent them cheaper than the cheapest kimsufi or Dedibox® SC gen2 but I would have to make some profit as well, so the price for reselling them must be €3.5-4. For €1 per month profit it's not worth all the hassle.
Lol the 2€ dedicated server got better network sometimes then there 290€ / m Box.
Lol
I might let mine expire at the end of the month!
That's not how it works, if you no longer want it, you had to cancel it before 20th.
Okay, well next month then. I'm only using it for storage anyway, and just got a much better plan (not dedi though)
It seems that the cancelled 1.99 kidechire are now being sold by oneprovider for 7 Euro ;(
ty I was wondering about that
OneProvider was selling this model for 7 EUR (and 9.99 some time earlier) long before the 1.99 priced Kidechire was offered.
Pony Approved.
That's why I ordered a bunch of 1.99 boxes.
One just died
. It was random rebooting last week and it couldn't even boot.
R.I.P
10 hours after I opened a ticket, they replaced that server.
Kudos for online.net. I consider 10 hours light speed fast for the amount I pay.
Replaced with a 160GB HDD?
Yes.
What are most of you using these for?
It's basically turned into the server equivalent of my spare room, I just dump everything I don't really care about but want to keep around on there.
Right now there's a remote desktop, a whole bunch of files I needed to move from another provider but haven't found a permanent home for yet, backups of a couple of small VPS. I was going to shove Observium on there too until @0xdragon came to the rescue with CloudCommando.
I only got 1 so others have a chance too. Right now it runs a Tor relay and a RDP server for various tests. I am thinking to backup there one of my very important encrypted containers with various very important data, to have it in n+1 places.
A mail server, two nameservers, recursive DNS server, web server, MySQL server, ZNC bouncer, IRC bots, XMPP server, OpenArena masterserver, a VNC remote desktop, a custom ping monitoring script, Squid proxy for browsing (also acting as a reverse proxy for my home server), IPv6 tunnel and a general VPN. In other words, for everything. Aside from these have just one VPS which runs one more mail server and one more nameserver (as it should be for redundancy).
Total how many kidechire u have
All of what I listed is currently spread across three servers.
