Simple, just get 75k-150k visitors/day in total
I'd more call it selfish than normal. Normal in LE-Area is zero profit and kind of free education and thus graduation and of course skills in financings.

About the cost of a month's worth of coffee and no monetary gain, but learned new things and had fun along the way.
One of these days I might look into offsetting costs a bit. I don't really want to subject people to persistent trackers from ads though, so unless there's some non-intrusive, visitor-friendly way to implement ads, they're a no-go for me. Nice to know it's still viable for others though.
I have an excel sheet with the actual amounts & for 2014 it went above $550 ! A lot of services were simply put 'an epic waste' but some very affordable ones were far better.
