Possible to run OSX on a VPS?

Just curious as I have never heard of any VPS run OSX before.

Would it be possible to do it on KVM/XEN?

Comments

  • It's possible, I've tried on KVM hackintosh ISO

  • It may be possible. But AFAIK, only VMWare fully supports OS X, or at least has the best support for it.

If your hosting provider offer ESXi-based packages, then you can run virtualized OS X without issues whatsoever.

  • i can only think one good reason to have OSX, which is developing Xcode for iOS apps. And, Linux beats OSX anytime in every sides.

  • Without GUI OSX is the crap.

  • In our DedifyStack product there are some profiles for OS X on XenServer. CloudStack also has some profiles. You can try it, but we do not support it and we cannot guarantee it.

We have some customers which run some OS X on our instances, they built their own templates for it.

  • Doesn't that violate the Apple EULA?
