Dacentec is another good colo although a bit higher at $40.
Continuum
-deleted- being a derp
try Dacentec
http://www.yorks.com/colocation/
That's very old. Also, if you read the thread, the customer was in the wrong (and never bothered updating any tickets with any of their providers, let alone VolumeDrive.) Read through the second page where other providers start speaking up as well.
What location are you looking for? Any other requirements?
Don't forget to find out upfront:
What are the remote hands costs for business hours/out of business hours
Whether power cycles are included or whether a PDU with remote power cycling is included. If they are done manually what is the cost and how quickly can they be done both in and out of business hours.
What is the cost of a KVM and how quickly it can be provisioned. Unless you have one built into the server then that will require a second network port, what is the cost?
What is the minimum commitment period
What is the exit cost ie to unrack, box-up and facilitate collection of the box using a prepaid shipping label.
Added later on:
@dnwk,
Oh ok, my bad. Ignore my previous comment.
I have one spare server that do not know what to do about it. I could probably let it sit in my basement or coloed at cheap price.
Not sure for dell cs24-sc how much power does it use. 1A or 2A?
I think your article link was quite relevant. Just for clarification, I've never heard of Volume Drive prior to this thread and have never interacted with them.
I read the link and the other article that it linked to as well. It has been less than a year since that thread was started, its not that old. It didn't read like the OP was at fault, the OP was "omarh". The poster that seemed to have some fault was "Hannan" and that person's issues were with "directspace". The OP for the embedded article link was "takisgr" and that person did finally get the equipment back through the DC (Burst.NET), not Volume Drive.
So unless I missed something, that's the summary I found.
If it's dual processor most likely 2A. 2xL5520 idles at 1A often. Depends on what else is connected.
Reliable Hosting Services is about 60+
At 120V?
110V or 120V is a minor difference, but yes that and not the 208/220/230V range. Sydney is 230V
110V or 120 Not much difference.
So is Tasmania I did mean to say 110V though, need to get some sleep I think.
Disagree. Check their recent ad on WHT.
Was curious, here it is ... http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?t=1411114
Yup. I was in a meeting; was just about to look up the link. I think the provider is a member of this forum (at least they offered VPS's at some point).
I do have service with them and like them pretty much. However, when I send them a ticket asking colo, they did not tell me that deal and quote me a much higher amount....sign.....
But that was when they still at Baltimore
If only someone on the west coast would offer this this :-)
inb4 all the providers start talking about how it is "not possible" ;-p
There are indeed some providers on west coast. Someone just PM me about it.
I think they can do this cheap is probably because they also apply for FCC grant for doing broadband in rural area West Virgina.

Dude, you gotta share that with me!
I have been trolling for a cheap west coast colo!!
When loaded with 2 x L5520 and 4 x 2TB WD RE4 --> peaks at 2A @ 120V.
Nominally approx 1.3 - 1.8A (measured via a Kill A Watt).
$20-$30 should get you a colo spot at server tent
Uhm wow are they trying to collect water on that tarp? LOL
