I just ordered a KS-4 in BHS and got a 2TB drive as well.
I'm thinking they're renewing the drives in the SYS line ?
I just got a KS-3 in BHS with a 2TB drive also just incase anyone was wondering..
I intend to order the new KS-3/4 to take advantage of new 2TB drive. Could you let me know how to cancel the current server or just simply do not pay the bill? I found no place to cancel current order in their renewal reminder page. Thanks.
EDIT: I see an option called No Renewal at https://www.kimsufi.com/en/cgi-bin/order/renew.cgi . Can anyone told me if it is valid to use this?
Correct.
Moreover, there is no automatic billing in the first place. To renew a server you go to the URL you mentioned, and there create and pay a bill. You may choose not to do so at any point.
I've seen people around here saying even OVH staff recommended to just not pay the bill.
I can second this. Ordered a new one as a replacement to my old 1 TB KS3 just now.
Hitachi GST Deskstar 7K3000 2TB
1.2 years power on hours
1073741824 bytes (1.1 GB) copied, 6.50652 s, 165 MB/s
I wouldn't even call it a recommendation -- it's just the normal way to cancel. I like it, personally. There's no need for cancellation requests when there's no automatic renewal.
After ordering the server i recived a email explaining that i need to renew the order every month inside the customer console. If i don´t do the contract will stop automaticly.

Anyone order KS-1 recently?
Is it N2800 or D425?
Doubt you'll get an N2800, the KS-2 is now advertised as a D425.
I ordered a ks1 a week ago and got the N2800. My other ks1 was ordered through the ks9 link and that was a D425. They seem to be in stock a lot though. Just check it manually from time to time.
How about the HDD, its 500GB or 1 TB?
Both are 500GB but maybe I just was unlucky.
Have 2 KS-1 with n2800 and got 500GB either so only KS-2 and up that upgraded to 2 TB.
the 10 euro one has been available for at least an hour now
Not very appealing with D425
@Detruire I just checked manually at this url, shows me a N2800: https://www.kimsufi.com/en/order/kimsufi.cgi?hard=142sk2
>
Yes if using that link than its n2800, so if available just snap it, order it a few minutes ago to replace my third ks-2 HDD, hope its 2 TB
Or if you want more powerful CPU compared to D425 than use this link https://www.kimsufi.com/en/order/kimsufi.cgi?hard=142sk10 its D2500 CPU Dual core with no HT.
Edit: got n2800 with 2 TB SATA by using old link (142sk2). Installed the OS and got 3 hours Power_On_Hours, perfect.
The N2800 is still better and available. If you're lucky and get 2TB however these drive is faster than the 1TB one.
The biggest deterrent for me to signup with OVH is their personal ID requirement for VAT verification.
Just ordered a KS-3 in Canada and got 2TB as well:
and:
@joodle: What's up with your Windows 8.1 image? I've installed it twice now (on a KS-3) and each time, the login credentials don't work. I've tried:
Any idea what's going on or does the 8.1 image not work on a KS-3?
Should work fine. PM me with the IP and i'll try
Got the same problem. Know the fix? I downloaded an older mstsc client
BTW, ordered one KS2 in the nights, and got anoooother D425... GEEZ, 20 EUROS TO the trash
142sk2 or 142sk7?
in addition, does the kimsufi don't provide test report anymore now? if still provide, you will find the cpu/harddisk model in the test report PDF, and don't need to install it, so you can request a refund...
Sk2. I can? I will, BC I wanted a N2800
How can I refund that?
Which mstsc client should I be downloading (the one for Windows 7 or XP or something else)? Can you give me a link? Thanks!
