Make your account beforehand, if you haven't already. There's at least a five minute window, you really only have to fill in 2 boxes to make the order. Heck, there's still plenty of stock from this round. The 256 is anything but expensive.

I got it on first click on the order link, after seeing the restock in IRC. Perhaps the IRC is more reliable?

It seems that my account got deleted? I tried to login this morning and it was gone, I even typed in my email at the password recovery and it smiply says "No client account was found with the email address you entered".
I'm certain that I did register last night as I've got several confirmation emails in my mailbox

It's possible... we rounded up and purged over 120 accounts that had blatantly false info (including 7 accounts registered from various proxies by a charming individual at LET that thought we wouldn't notice), yours might have been in the mix by mistake. If so, I apologize for that sir, go ahead and open another account and open a Billing ticket with my name and the plan you were trying to order; I'll make sure you get it.
