  • sk9 shows D425 + 500G, should be ks-1. don't know which CPU will get.

  • Would the KS3 get a 2 TB disk too?

Renewal is coming up and thinking about reordering, if this is the case.

  • If you guys have these boxes for your ... free time ... or personal projects. Renewing with a 500GB drive ain't worth. If I were you guys, I'd go for the 2TB one. Can store a lot of things or even your favourite movies as someone previously stated.

@XTServers depends, when you still have one from 2013 and you can enable perma migration and such stuff. I think it isnt worth to pay 2Euros more without Perma Migration and 2TB HDD. 2013 was 4EUR, now it cost 6EUR from the 2014 version. And then you can still get a D425 which as less power as N2800.

  • Well, yes that is correct but most people recently got the D425 ... which is really low performance (pretty much useless). If they get N2800 + 2TB ... = worth.

Anyone know what 142sk9 is? It's the same specs as KS-1, and is currently in stock, but not listed on the order page. It seems like the KS-1 is getting upgraded to the N2800, so not sure which one is the N2800.

Just ordered a KS-1 using that 142sk9 code as I needed one in France (regardless of which CPU). Got a D425 in RBX1, 500GB:

CPU model : Intel(R) Atom(TM) CPU D425 @ 1.80GHz Number of cores : 2 CPU frequency : 1800.151 MHz Total amount of ram : 1977 MB Total amount of swap : 0 MB System uptime : 10 min, Download speed from CacheFly: 11.3MB/s Download speed from Coloat, Atlanta GA: 8.13MB/s Download speed from Softlayer, Dallas, TX: 9.61MB/s Download speed from Linode, Tokyo, JP: 4.29MB/s Download speed from i3d.net, Rotterdam, NL: 8.14MB/s Download speed from Leaseweb, Haarlem, NL: 11.1MB/s Download speed from Softlayer, Singapore: 3.58MB/s Download speed from Softlayer, Seattle, WA: 4.85MB/s Download speed from Softlayer, San Jose, CA: 3.91MB/s Download speed from Softlayer, Washington, DC: 10.2MB/s I/O speed : 553 MB/s

    lspci | egrep -i 'network|ethernet'
and tell us the device? I think the D425 ones are limited to 100 Mbit/s

Not me. I've been sending them the same documents every week for like 3 months now and each time, I get the confirmation email that they've received the documents. I'm still paying VAT.

ElKomic yes. we will gradually upgrade all KS on 1Gbps. we need to finish the upgrade before routing RBX1.

Wat?! I wondered if those cheap KS boxes have a gbit controller and they seem to have one.. <3

00:12.0 Ethernet controller: Intel Corporation 82540EM Gigabit Ethernet Controller (rev 03)

So Octave, waiting patiently for my upgrade then. Oh and please order a new HDD for me already because when the upgrade comes my HDD is going to suffer hard :)

    Same here.

I even got a reply on the forum, from a staff member. They said they have removed it.....still being charged VAT to this day.

Never mind... Just checked to pay my next invoice and the VAT is removed!

  • Sylmae said: I get the confirmation email that they've received the documents

i dint get any response from mails :/ , i think i should send a fresh one

  • Let me get this straight, will ks-1 get N2800 and 1Gbit eventually? And ks-1 2TB instead of 1TB?
