Thanks for the link, and now seems all SoYouStart server got free 16 IPs as well :)

  • @elijahpaul said:

    it is a 2x1tb or 1x2tb?

Yeah. They've had that for a little while now. They're not quite free, there is an initial setup cost for them, but no recurring fees for your first 16IPs which is pretty cool. :

I Wish it was the other way round! Not sure we'll ever see RAID on Kimsufi again. :(

  • If someone gets 2TB in BHS with KS-3 or KS-4 -- please post (or ping me : )

Please check carefully, the Xenon 1225/1245 with SATA HDD doesn't get the free IPs... at least in BHS.

On France site stated if all got the free IPs, pretty confusing since they have different specs between countries.

  • I ordered a new IP for a 4 month old SYS 1225 - and I think the invoice post checkout but pre payment just showed $0 for checkout + $3 setup fee. So I think at checkout I got a one time setup fee only. I'll wait for future cycles to verify.

Soon I will snap the SSD if their IPs is free, unbeatable price :) we should open SoYouStart thread here :)

  • RBX1 est le de DC KS. Apres l'upgrade you Routage / collect, on pourra upgrader les switchs de baies pour passer à 1Gbps sur les KS.

    They've just upgraded RBX1 to 1Gpbs...

  • wow Alll KS will be 1 gbps now? I am on RBX5

I'm in RBX5 too, but I don't get 1 Gbps, hopefully they upgrade all KS :)

Its RBX1, i got mine there lemme do benchmark.

    Thanked by 2ahmiq kornnflake
  • So ... 40euro SYS servers get 200mbps while 4.99euro KS servers get 1GBPS. Sounds so darn legit. :)

may be this is burst. not guranteed. i think SYS 200 mbps is guranteed bandwidth?

  • They can barely offer 100MBPS at the moment tho.

Bandwidth on KS is best effort, not guaranteed even at the current 100 Mbps.
Likely with Gbit this will stay the same.
But you/we will have good chances of having up to 1Gbps within the DC.

Also just checked, at least the N2800 motherboard has a gigabit NIC. So no problems with upgrade from that side.

  • I'd also be interested in whether you get 1GBit or not. I'm currently in RBX5, hopefully they'll do the upgrade there soon too. ;)

  • Are there any KS-1 and KS-2 instances in RBX1? Maybe it's for the higher end plans?

if they upgrade to 1gbps then atleast n2800 guys are going to be happy:

     lspci | egrep -i 'network|ethernet'
01:00.0 Ethernet controller: Intel Corporation 82574L Gigabit Network Connection

    @XTServers :

Pretty happy with 100 mbps port how much speed do you get on average?
