So does anyone else think there should be a sitcom drama about this? Just call it the GVH show, put Jon as the main character and it may even beat the new 24 series running! This thread has given me a lot of laughs due to the absurdity of things that have happened.
@mpkossen I understand that LET is a loosely controlled forum, but I am honestly seeing these GVH threads getting extreme. This is the first time I have seen "jon" and "suicide" in the same sentence. For all the drama GVH causes and their tactics for doing so, I feel they need a leash.
For the amount of crap that has happened, I propose a sub-forum for GVH to have a daily drama thread. I have never seen a provider get shit on so much so quickly. The only other host that comes near is CVPS from purely reading threads.
@GreenValueHost Your keep stating you will use actions over words. However your actions since this supposed development have not proven to be any better than what I have previously read. Honestly get your shit together, and come back and MAYBE people will respect your brand. But the more you keep posting, the more people will see you for a laugh over seeing you as a real option. As others have stated, your crying wolf to the point thats all anyone hears. Stop giving out hourly press releases, using LET as a support board for clients, and just FIX yourself up!
Oh and BTW I did spend the past 1.5 hours reading this thread. It was funny, but this really, really just needs to stop.
TL;DR - GVH still seems to look like a clown crying wolf and needs to work, not use politically correct statements to B.S. their way out of everything. I haven't ever used their services, and can't say I will for now. My statements are only from reading LET threads.

I did actually try that in the past and it came around to bite me in the ass big time. I am not capable of being judge and jury all by myself; the community is a lot better at that. This is why we always have been a fairly low-moderated forum.
I am definitely open to thinking about ways to protect our community better while maintaining the low-moderation style we're having. But this is not the place nor the time to do it. In situations of crisis it is best not to make big decisions; you should make those in situations of calm.
I would also like to take the time to thank @HC_Ro and @hellogoodbye (sorry if I forgot anyone) for calling the police, and people like @Nick_A and @MannDude who had the calm and decency in the situation to take it seriously and recommend action to be taken.

Darn. I didn't make note of my newly assigned IP so I couldn't check. I was requesting 2 IPs that were missing from renumbering, but client area went down few minutes after submitting a ticket.
A provider is allowed to have their moment in the sun once every two weeks and that should be it. I was about to close down this thread when it was first started, but the community was curious and so was I, so I let it be.
Other than that, I believe it's usually the customers that open GVH threads. I don't believe Jonny opens that many and if he did/does, I will warn him and take action accordingly (like I have in the past).
You are free to 'Flag' threads started by a provider that are not an offer but can be seen as such. We always look at those reports :-)
We actually tend to make better decisions when we're at least a bit angry. Though that seems to fly in the face of common sense, anger motivates us to be more analytical and better filter out weak arguments. It's absolutely fascinating stuff.

Anger does bring out any hidden frustration, I'm sure about that. But I don't necessarily agree with what is written in that article. It's also just one study, I believe. Let's just say I've seen it go wrong way too many times when decisions were made in times of anger/crisis.

I think the difference is "Anxiety" vs "Anger". There are also varying levels of anger, from "Bloodthirsty range" to "put off" which each may have different effects on an individual.

You are right, of course, when you want to cut off a few days of inimaginable suffering, however we were not talking about those cases here. It might also be worth it when saving many other lives or protect them but then it is not suicide but sacrifice. Those are two different things. Suicide is calling it quits, giving up, withdrawing. It is acceptable when you are quiitting a few days ahead when you cant do anything else than suffer and also make others suffer this also has a tad of sacrifice to stop inflicting your suffering on people that love you, most other cases are almost pure sacrifices, apart from the calling it quits cases we were originally talking about.

In other news, Canada has shot down a Fed-Ex Boeing 737 after it entered Canadian airspace along the Lake Eerie Coast.
