Delimiter Review ~ 1 Months Intel Atom @ $5 /M
I have a DelimiterVPS Dedicated Server my friend has and I was amazed with the uptime and speed of their network also their support so I decided to get my own server
Also let's get thing's straight this isn't one of those oh 5 Dorra a month, you get what you pay for well, this is more than that since the Port speed is quite nice actually and there hasn't been any downtime at all.
Here's what I got from them:
Atom 230, 2GB RAM, 100GB Disk - $5/mo (Atlanta)
- 2GB RAM
- 100GB Disk
- 2TB Bandwidth @ 1Gbps
- 1 IPv4 Address
- /64 IPv6 address block
- Gigabit port
- OS: Centos, Ubuntu, Scientific Linux and Fedora
Gigabit port
Usage : cPanel DNS Only
Just Amazing at that price point, network is rock solid and uptime is amazing.
I depend on this little box everyday to host my DNS as a backup for when my main DNS goes offline.
It has saved me a lot of time since during a DDos attack CNservers blocks all UDP Traffic including DNS so this really is a lifesaver!
CPU model : Intel(R) Atom(TM) CPU 230 @ 1.60GHz
Number of cores : 2
CPU frequency : 1599.996 MHz
Total amount of ram : 1843 MB
Total amount of swap : 3903 MB
System uptime : 27 days, 1:16,
Download speed from CacheFly: 26.7MB/s
Download speed from Coloat, Atlanta GA: 13.9MB/s
Download speed from Softlayer, Dallas, TX: 9.40MB/s
Download speed from Linode, Tokyo, JP: 1.86MB/s
Download speed from i3d.net, Rotterdam, NL: 831KB/s
Download speed from Leaseweb, Haarlem, NL: 18.4MB/s
Download speed from Softlayer, Singapore: 2.22MB/s
Download speed from Softlayer, Seattle, WA: 6.31MB/s
Download speed from Softlayer, San Jose, CA: 5.35MB/s
Download speed from Softlayer, Washington, DC: 15.7MB/s
I/O speed : 53.1 MB/s
Everything is exactly as advertised, Support was amazing there was a issue with my first deployment since whoever was using that IP last still had an active WHM/cPanel licence so I can't use it, they quickly deployed me a new server within 20 Minutes of opening the ticket, setup time was also on the foxxy side since they setup my entire server within 15 Mins.
Overall, I would highly recommend delimitervps for a cheap yet highly capable servers!
Comments
Agree with this review 100%, although I've cancelled mine due to no use. SAN storage is also a nice touch!
Also have one of this and its solid with great uptime!
Got one as well, they are quite the stable little things.
Is it out of stock? I couldn't find it on their website.

First listing.
It's not $5/month, it's $60/year. Big difference :-)
It's considered $5 A month if you pay the $60 a year :-)
I tried to order but not succeed. The error is:
"We have reviewed your order for a VPS, but following a risk review of your account information provided it has been determined that we are unable to offer you this service at this time.
If you believe this is in error, please contact us at [email protected]"
I tried to mail them but failed again:
"Technical details of permanent failure:
Google tried to deliver your message, but it was rejected by the server for the recipient domain delimitervps.com by mx0.mail.ovh.net. "
Why it's too hard to buy? Anyone can advise? Thank you.
Only if you've got the $60 to spare in the first place.
You've only gotta sell 6 monthly OpenVZ containers on 'em though at 2GB RAM/$10. Evens itself out quickly.
@NewforVPS - PM me your email or order # and I'll try to find out the problem.
on a side note can you install windows like on the kimsufi ks1 on the atom? @markturner
I buy dedi's for when I don't want to share.
Sell 12 and you can have one to yourself.
I heard you can boot it into recover mode by asking support, you might be able to dd a disk image to the HDD like a kimsufi @akz
These use SAN storage, so veeeery unlikely.
They don't have an HDD.
It may be possible to boot some versions of Windows from iSCSI if that's what they use, but I'm not sure how would you go about setting that up.
Ehh, effort.
I guess we don't all have business brains. Best leave it to us big wigs.
Yessir, I have to save the business brain for work.
$10 a month if you can't do 60 upfront
I'm aware of the pricing model, but that you for sharing all the same.
I have had one for a few months now, it's been sitting there chugging away. When I first logged in I was very surprised at how well the CPU performs.
Have this box either and yes that's an awesome deal
How long it takes to get your server? Thanks.
Great deal, perfect for it's price.
For me is 2 hours, their latest deal.
Last I checked, it wasn't possible to load Windows Server on Kimsufi servers. Has this changed? Do you have to pay extra for Windows Server?
There is a tutorial by @joodle and also some info in the ks thread. It is not automatic like other deployments but possible nevertheless.
For awhile some people were complaining that their servers were going into read-only mode on the network attached storage. Is that not a problem, anymore?
Didn't have any issues with data on the network storage.
