  • Question:

This server was installed 39 days ago and is running agent version0.7.2
    New Version Available

whats the changelog?, or is internal info for you?

i have both instaled, on different servers, but would like to know.

  • @dedicados said:

Pretty sure the code changes and changelog are public on Github as per normal.

    See https://github.com/nodequery/nq-agent/commits?author=nodequery

  • @Joe_NQ: I'm on a Debian 7 VPS and NodeQuery says I'm on a high RAM with 182% overload. My PhpSysinfo statistics tell me I only used 80%. Is there a bug?

  • Yes, it means the SSL cert is compromised. But the odds of a MitM is low.

Yeah I'm just wondering whatever @Joe_NQ is still around or not.

  • I saw the question mark so I wasn't sure if you were uncertain. xD

He hasn't logged into his LET account for nearly a month (last activity was on March 19th). As you pointed out, NodeQuery is vulnerable to the Heartbleed bug.

I do appreciate @Joe_NQ's work and dedication, but running such a service requires to watch it closely and to fix errors ASAP. Time to pack up and look elsewhere.

EDIT: I've filled in a couple of bug reports on GitHub. Hopefully they will be taken care of.

    This exactly.

  • Can't beta testers remain with a free account after the beta ends?

That will be so nice ^_^

I definitely chose the wrong week to go on a vacation. OpenSSL has been updated and I am awaiting the certificates to be reissued. Email alerts have been temporarily disabled until all services are back to normal. I am very sorry I couldn't reply and fix things sooner.

As soon as I have a moment I will go through all your replies and messages and hope to have answered everything by tonight. Thank you all for keeping me updated.

UPDATE: Certificates have been reissued and all recent sessions were deleted.

@Joe_NQ has responded to the issues on GitHub. NodeQuery's servers have been patched against Heartbleed.

  • so site is down? or just me.

  • @dedicados said:

    Just you.

  • @Joe_NQ did you block countries or ips, i cant see your site:

¡Vaya! Google Chrome no ha podido encontrar la página www.nodequery.com.

  • So any info as to how much after the beta and whether there will be a 'free' plan (limited num of VPSes and/or not all features)? I really don't want to invest time into installing it on a few of my VPSes and giving feedback only to find out a month or two down the line that if I want to continue using it a ridiculous monthly fee will be required...

  • This is a great tool. Nicely done man.

  • I finally got my OVH VPS working on NodeQuery. The issue was really dumb; using numbers in your server's name on NQ will result in a failure to get any updates. Hopefully that will help someone else too!

All good, www.nodequery.com seems fixed or unaffected!

Yeah, it's been fixed long time ago.

Interesting, all mine have numbers in the FQDN.

All mine have numbers as well, and no problems. One of them's an OVH VPS too.

  • Eh. Weird. That's the only way I got it working, anyway.

  • Hello everyone, I would like to thank you all again for continuing using our service and providing great feedback. I am currently very busy with other projects so further development is a little slow. I will however continue working on it during my thesis at university and hope to add an api, widgets, mobile as well as Raspbian support very soon.

Also, many people have been asking about the pricing. I currently do not have any plans to end the public beta so the service will remain free for the foreseeable future. If you require more servers, simply send us an email or message me on LET and I will raise your limit.

Are you still having problems accessing the site? I didn't block any countries or IPs.

That's odd, which distribution and virtualization are you using? I myself use numbers and never had any problems.

  • @Joe_NQ thanks!

I'm on Debian 7.4. OVH use OpenVZ, but they slab it by running VMWare ontop of it.

What advantages are beta accounts going to see once this exists the public beta?

  • Looks pretty good, Is this going to be paid when the beta is over?

I can't really say anything about that yet but I would guess either double the amount of servers or a 50% discount compared to a regular pro account.

Yes, that's the plan. However, we do not expect to end the public beta anytime soon. As mentioned above, people who sign up during the beta will eventually have some sort of advantage over accounts that have been created at a later time.
