Linceris.com Review: Paid VPS Cancelled Without Notice, Data Lost, and Slow Support

Provider: Linceris - https://www.linceris.com
Customer since: Early October
Outcome: Payment refunded, server not restored, all data lost

Previous Outages

I used Linceris from early October. During that time, I experienced server outages lasting between one and three hours without any advance notice.

However, what happened on November 6 completely destroyed my trust in this provider.

Paid on November 4, Cancelled on November 6

Here is the timeline:

  • November 4: I paid my VPS invoice.
  • November 6: My server was shut down without warning, and its status changed to “Cancelled.”
  • About one hour after the shutdown: I opened a support ticket.
  • Almost 24 hours after opening the ticket: I finally received the first response.

Throughout that time, my paid server remained unavailable.

Advertised 24/7 Support vs. My Experience

In Discord, I was told that support rarely responds on weekends. Yet their website advertises 24/7 support.

In my experience, replies arrived roughly once a day, even when the issue involved a completely unavailable server. I find that response time unacceptable for a hosting provider dealing with a critical outage.

Support Claimed I Requested the Cancellation

Support later claimed that the server had been cancelled at my request.

I never requested a cancellation.

In fact, I had paid the invoice just two days earlier because I intended to continue using the service. Their explanation simply does not match my actions.

My Complaints Were Deleted from Discord

I posted my complaints in the company’s Discord channel. Those messages were later deleted.

This only made the experience worse and further damaged my trust in the company.

A Refund Did Not Resolve the Data Loss

By the end of the following day, I received a refund. I acknowledge that they returned my money, but I do not consider that a satisfactory resolution:

  • My server was not restored.
  • I lost all the data stored on it.
  • The time spent configuring the server and trying to resolve the issue was also lost.

Refunding the VPS fee does not bring back my data or the time I spent on the service.

Pricing and Unanswered Questions

My plan cost €4, while the VPS plans currently advertised on their website start at €14.99 per month.

This made me wonder whether the cancellation was connected to a reluctance to continue providing the cheaper plan.

I have no evidence of that connection, so I cannot present it as a fact. However, I still have not received a satisfactory explanation for why my paid service was cancelled.

Would I Recommend Linceris?

No, based on my experience.

For me, a hosting provider’s reliability is about more than hardware specifications and pricing. It also depends on how the company handles problems.

In my case, that meant:

  • Server outages without advance notice.
  • A paid VPS cancelled without my request.
  • Almost a full day waiting for the first support response.
  • A claim that I had requested the cancellation.
  • My complaints being deleted from Discord.
  • Loss of all data stored on the VPS.

I cannot recommend Linceris, especially for projects that depend on server availability and timely support.

Restore your backup onto a preferred provider.

Who will compensate me for the time and money that have been spent? The point is that this provider presents itself as stable, with 24/7 support, and it was never expected that such a situation would arise.

What backup restoration are you referring to? If these guys had at least warned me about their intentions, I would have taken the appropriate actions, but it happened without any warning - they just dropped the VPS and that’s it. Is that a good experience?

This post is about my experience working with this provider, even though it didn’t last long, and it’s for people who would like to purchase services from them - so they know what they might encounter.

So now you want them to pay you more money for not using their service? You were already refunded, move on.

If you didn't maintain your own backups, that's a skill issue on your part.

Of course not. I wanted to get a specific reason why this happened, or at least an apology for what occurred.

Let me repeat once again: I wanted to highlight the fact that the company treats its customers terribly and fails to resolve their problems.

If you’re fine with this kind of treatment, then I feel sorry for you.

Yes, thank you, I wouldn’t have thought of that without you. You still didn’t get the point.
